Merchandise in the shop

Merchandise in the shop

Postby SupermarketShrimp » Sun Jul 31, 2016 7:12 pm

I see that in the biggest most money spinning friendly we have , the shop had zero stock in it.

Further more they weren't confident of having it for the Blackpool game,

Are we deliberately trying to be this commercially inept?

I believe it is a problem with the supplier

the fact that we had the same problem last season and most likely the season before then yes we are inept and who ever is in charge should be answerable to the questions raised.

I doubt they are bothered,

the excuse of it is out of our hands is not good enough, we heard that one last season

BUT, if you want to buy one, you wont find it forsale anywhere else, so you will just have to wait until they come instock, hope they have ordered your size and that there is one left when you do get chance

Maybe, the club shop should be taking pre-orders instore and online

I'm afraid that just doesn't wash. We should
Be using a supplier that can provide them or have extremely punitive measures in for non supply. This is such a valuable income stream yet we will end up chucking them out for a tenner again.

To be fair, how do you know we haven't got some punitive measures?

Its a shocking situation, but I guess it comes down more to the size of our order (possibly one of the smallest, so lower down on their priorities) than any fault with MFC staff.

That big plastic badge was awful !

Very nice watching the 1966 World Cup Final on BBC2 last night to see those red England shirts with just the 3 lions badge on them instead of the modern shirts festooned with adverts.

Exactly.... :?: :?: :?:

Too many 'fans' are only too quick to put the boot in and blame the club / Directors for areas completely out of their control.

Who's decision was it to have Carbrini supply the kit then?

If it's Cabrini's fault, I hope the club are negotiating a whopping discount to compensate.

To be fair, we've had the same kit supplier for a good few years now and I don't recall any issues in past seasons. I'm not sure how the club can be to blame here considering there have been no previous issues.

If we stick with them and the same problems occur next year then you may have a stick to beat the club with if you so desire.

What would be stupid was if the club were to pay the full invoice. I would be asking for hefty discounts in potential loss of revenue.

I'm not having that.....

I've been one of the most supportive of PMcG and his fellow Directors on SVs. Granted I've had a go at our General Manager on a number of occasions which hasn't gone down well but otherwise I've backed the Board more times than I care to remember.

No doubt a certain SVer will spend some time trawling back through my posts in an attempt to prove other wise.
