2016/17 Prediction League.

Postby Sakhalin Shrimp » Mon Aug 01, 2016 9:18 pm

Now the first prediction thread is up and running I thought it time to post the 2016/17 prediction league thread.

The rules as I see them.

The rules to be the same as last season unless anyone would like to make changes that won’t make my job more complicated. Please submit suggestions ASAP or at the latest by Thursday 4th Aug. to allow discussion.

2 points for correct result (win/draw/lose) then if you predicted the result correctly, 1 point for each teams’ correctly predicted score, plus 1 bonus point if you predicted both teams’ scores correctly.

Incorrect result, no points, even if you get 1 of the teams’ score correct.

Any player who hasn’t made a prediction for 6 consecutive games will be temporarily removed from the table. If they resume making predictions they will be reinstated into the table with all points intact.
All players will appear in the final table at the end of the season.

All league and cup/trophy games count.

Any cup/trophy game that plays extra time/penalties rather than a replay, the score at 90 mins counts.

The current champion is more than happy with the format ;)

Don't think there will be many wins this season.

What happens if a game goes to pens? If its 0-0 and on team wins 4-3 on pens would the final score be 4-3?

Last season I think I took the score at the end of normal time (90 mins) so I'll do the same this year. I'll add that into the rules above unless anyone thinks different?

I should hope you are!

It's always best to check because when I read the thread to pick up the predictions it's easy to miss one if it's contained within comments.
