Tom Barkhuizen
Morecambe's number 9 had a superb game last night and ran our defence ragged.
There are some gems in the lower leagues and he looked like he could be one of them on last night's showing.
He certainly looked better than anything we have up front at the moment and might be worth a cheeky offer before the transfer window closes.

I hope nothing comes of this............................

Tale of 2 games, if they had seen him on Saturday we would had to pay to see him go.
He looked unconfined, whereas last night he was taking players on and heading towards the goal. Maybe his Tom Tom had flat batteries

Maybe our management team got their tactics right for once and as a result Tom was given more of an attacking role rather than being defensive.

Should have said unconfident rather than unconfined.
He was still behind the front 2 but instead of hanging back he had the confidence to run at them from behind the half way line, scaring the defenders in the process.

What troubles me is he a saleable asset who we got for nothing.
Given we are A. short of players and B. allegedly cash strapped (until/unless new owners materialise) if we got 100k we could bring in 3 or 4 players each on 25/30k and be no worse off.
They are out there and we need to boost the squad so if he got sold that takes care of the finances.
All probably built on nothing but as a theory it holds water.

Or maybe I think too much.........

If he could put his chances away then he wouldn't be at this level. Good player but needs to work on his finishing a lot !

KS
See CCs post.
Confidence has a lot to do with it; was finishing well for most of last season.

Would never happen. Any money from player sales would go to servicing the debts. The playing side would see none of it.

I would like to see Barky put a bit of weight/Muscle on. He is too slight and with a bit more of a physical presence, he could be a good Championship striker!
