Hard one to predict after a dismal performance against Grimsby and a remarkable win over a champion team :?:

Can't be optimistic enough to see a clean sheet, but after last night...

3-2 :D :D :D

Absolutely, but this is different and no doubt we will turn the team all around.
I will still be putting cash on us to win as we are underdogs at nearly 2 to 1..

20/1 for a 3.1 win 8-)

A championship team that had only 3 players from their opening game at the weekend.

The team had a number of players returning from injury and others who had never appeared in the first team prior to our game.

Not wishing to put a downer on our excellent win, but a sense of realism is needed.... :!:

They're still Championship players though representing a Championship club so they're no mugs.

Still a superb result to go in our club history books.

Like many others, I suspect, I fear that Jim will revert to trying to defend and score on the break, rather than sticking with a formula that obviously worked on Tuesday. Nevertheless, since we're bringing an extra body along to support (albeit a neutral), I'm going to be as positive as I want Jim and the lads to be.

Morecambe 3 - 2 Blackpool

An entertaining goalfest with a 3 point victory to finish, albeit nailbiting in the last 10!

This is an important game. It will define how Jim is going to play it for at least the first few games.
Against my gut feeling I think he may just try to adopt an attacking approach.
3-1 to us. Hope I'm not wrong but it serves me right if I am :?

Spoke to a Blackpool fan at work today and he said the vibe on the message board is that they will only bring about 800. Hopefully he is wrong. Pompey will probably bring that many on Tuesday ;)

That's absolute nonsense. The vibe on the message boards is anything from 2000 onwards, everyone is coming back for this one due to Morecambe FC allowing Blackpool fans to buy tickets from them. Not sure what message board you mate reads??

I'll go 2-2

Mrs Sak thinks we'll edge it 3-2.

In the post match appraisal by Jim he is full of praise for the way the team played against Rotherham AND not a word about letting 4 goals in :o So, going by that, he will be making similar plans for tomorrow ;)
