Bit late with this as a late night celebrating a great result against our new local rivals.
Back to his best yesterday.Had a point to prove against his old club and did so.Roasted both the left backs (one who was VERY lucky to stay on the pitch until subbed at HT) and showed he is more than just pace with a precision pass for the winning goal.
Nice touches by both Jim in subbing him with 5 to go,allowing the ovation he got (to be fair he looked knackered) , and also by the Blackpool fans who joined in the applause.Needs to be tied down on a longer deal, and allowed the freedom on the pitch to do what he does best; run at defences.
Whatever has been done to light him up again, keep doing it.
One of many on the pitch yesterday who battled for the cause.
COYS!!!!

I walked in with a few Blackpool fans and they were asking how Barky was getting on! They spoke of him fondly and wish they still had him on their books! They were a bit miffed when I said that the Nob Enders had been linked with him.

It was a good chat and we spoke about all the ex 'pool players we have had at Morecambe! Andy Gouk brought a few laughs!

Bournemouth have paid 5m for Jordan Ibe from Liverpool and having seen a lot of this kid I genuinely believe that Tom is a better player/more potential
Ibe needs 5 or 6 touches on the ball and his end product is poor.

Let's hope we can agree an extension of his contract.

I don't want to read Carlisle's head of recruitment gloating next Summer about signing him.

With PNE having got a bucket load of pennies from Rangers for one of their strikers, I'd expect Grayson to be in the market for a coupe of players and it wouldn't surprise me if PNE made a bid for Tom especially as he knows of his potential having had him at Blackpool whilst manager there a few seasons ago.

Not wishing Tom to go obviously but we can't be seen to be holding back a player to earn a few more pennies...just like we did with Jack Redshaw.

I'd not worry about it. He's had two good games and an average season last year. Worry in December if he's bagged 10 and terrorised everyone.

Remember, we are in league 2 and players who have any sort of pace and good vision thrive. I dont think a move to anywhere above league 1 would be good for him personally however we'd want to sell him to atleastva championship team to get decent money for him. I can see him getting player of the season along with barry when we get automatic promotion!!!!

He was really good (remember Walsall) until about October when Jim changed the system as we were conceding too many (including using Barky as fullback/wingback) and we all know how that went.If we have learned from that and continue to give him free reign as an attacker then he may well bag 10 and terrorise everyone.
He has pace and vision and if performing on a regular basis to anywhere near his recent games it will generate interest.
