For the last 3 games we have looked like a team with the players understanding their roles and carrying them out .
There appears to have been a plan and it has brought us 3 wins, however even leaving the results aside Iam happy with the performance as the players work for one another.

It is MUCH better when we win though..................

Difference for me is that we are not setting up from the beginning aiming for a clean sheet, if this had been the case tonight we would have lost big style.. we frightened them to death 1st half and rode our luck in the 2nd but we ended up with our first clean sheet in yonks. Even Baz said after the game it seems a long time since I didn't have to pick the ball out of the net!

Well done to everyone!

After the shambles at Halifax and Grimsby, this team have got their act together and the result is there for all to see brilliant defending with strikers attacking on the break, well done to Jim and Ken for bringing the passion back to our Morecambe.

Is good to see the management taking a more attacking stance at home especially. Nice to see more than one up front occupying the opposition's defenders instead of them having spare players at the back. Attacking with pace once we get the ball too. Long may it continue. Was great to finally keep a clean sheet last night, but standing near the away end didn't half give us a sore neck looking towards the home end for almost 50 minutes in the second half!! :D

we always start well, but what is Jim going to do different this season compared to other seasons to stop the wheels falling off the wagon?

I'm afraid no lessons will have been learned from previous seasons., Jim will soon put the team on restrictive settings.

Feeling more positive again and for the first time in ages I am looking forward to the next match. However lets not kid ourselves that all is rosy. We certainly rode our luck last night, but if Pompey had taken our chances, we could have easily lost 7-2. That said, we have been short on luck for quite a while, so hopefully due a bit of some for a change.

Jim still needs 2-3 players and only time will tell if he has honed up his tactical nous as the season progresses. Playing better teams that come to have a go seems to suit our counter attacking style, just as long as we can keep it tight. Having such a small squad also means Jim is less likely to tinker and all the squad has a realistic chance of playing each match, meaning a hopefully tight unit.
