More of the same in the second half please!!! :D

"We gave it such a go"
"What a great game of football"
"Absolutely everyone on their feet [applauding the players off]"
"That'll give them a lot of confidence"
"Jim looks gutted"
"They should be proud"
"It makes you feel so proud on nights like this"
"Excellent, excellent"
"Great effort, you can't fault them"
"Decent chances through good football"

A little bit of luck could have made such a difference. Sounds like a cracker. Hope we get decent coverage on the highlights programme.

That's the standard of football we're capable of.

Fantastic stuff from start to finish.

No excuses later in the season. The bar has been raised.

What a wonderful game so entertaining two sides prepared to play the game how it was intended, cannot believe the change since the end of last season, the introduction of the new players had galvanised the ones who were already here especially Fleming who has always had talent but lacked the motivation.well some million pound players in their lineup could not tell that much difference .hope this continues and the fans will come rolling back ace

Applauded off at the end and fully deserved.

Superb game of football which we were unlucky not to get at least extra time out of.

Onwards to the Dingles who are in extra time and will hopefully be suffering on Saturday from it.

So VERY proud of my club tonight.

A trip to the Olympic Stadium for them in the next round, hopefully that will be a distraction.

Another good performance and very unlucky not to take the game to extra time, that second goal just wouldn't come. I thought Bournemouth looked a good side, gave us little time on the ball and were a very good passing side. Having said that, we more than matched them.

We have had a run of good performances now and its actually been enjoyable to watch which was rarely the case last season. Lets hope some of those who came back tonight follow it up and come again a week on Saturday.

Good performance against the best side I have seen at the Globe in a good while. Good turnout too. Got told the PMG was a sell out so had to go in the Omega. Loads of empty seats though?

That's probably the best you will see. David v Goliath and at times you couldn't tell the difference. The whole team put a shift in and on another day 7 of them would have got M.O.M.
Bournemouth have gone away knowing they were in a game, you could see their quality without doubt, but we matched them, and beat them on so many occasions. heads didn't go down when we went behind and I was there like those around me thinking we were going to take it to extra time. So unlucky but a fabulous performance.

Well done the lot of ya !

PS you can probably gather that the bar was open a bit longer than usual

9.30 start Saturday :D

From the AFC Bournemouth Forum:

Fair play to Morecambe, they gave us a good match. Didn't look over-awed against supposedly on-paper superior players and could have snuck an equaliser right at the end there.

Heck patronising them, we know exactly what it is like to be where they are and so no Billy Big-Bollox. Irrelevant of the under-performance of a number of our players they did well.
