It's interesting how people will suddenly find the money to watch a winning team though.
If Morecambe can continue this form for longer into the season, and are still around the play off positions then the crowds will increase. Everyone wants to be associated with success.
How many who went to Wembley in 2007 still look for our results or maybe (surprise surprise) attend the odd game?
But if we can sustain good results throughout the season, some of them may return.
The cost of admission isn't cheap but I don't believe it is a barrier if there is a feel good factor around the club and a winning team on the pitch.

The improvement so far this season has been remarkable. The signing of Rose in particular has strengthened the side and improved players around him such as Fleming. We have been in this position before and it is important to keep playing attacking football and not revert to a defensive line up. Lets hope the management team have learnt from the Mansfield Experience!! If we can maintain the present form and steer clear of serious injuries we can challenge for a play off place this season at the very least.

Im sorry to disagree with you but i think it is a barrier, if you remember when Pmg did the freebie against Daggers the crowd was over 4,000, and it was an entertaining game, but the following home game dropped back down to just over 2,000 and after that we were back to the usual. Poo

What is also remarkable is that from doom and gloom at the start of the season the talk is suddenly of play offs 'at least'!!!!

Yes we've made a good start but if expectations run too high the moans and groans will come flooding back as soon as we experience a dip in form. As Keith and others have said let's just hope it continues and enjoy it whilst it does.

I have to say that was a quality performance from the lads and I was particularly impressed with how we reacted after the 2nd goal.

Jack Dunn's performance was was on the best performances I have seen in a Morecambe shirt. My mate, who is a casual fan, said he would pay the ticket price alone to see him play. Oozed quality and mugged off Premier league players at times.

Rose - Again oozed quality and plays football completely the right way. His age brings that experience as well.

Stockton - Very impressed with his hold up play and ability to link with Dunn.

Excellent performance from the team.
I still won't be getting overly excited, we have been here before and we need to see where we are come November. However, as others have said, keep approaching games in this way and we will win more games than we lose.

Funny how we all see things differently. I found Dunn infuriating at times on Wednesday, there's no doubt he's a hugely talented player with great close ball control and a hell of a strike on him but for me he has a tendency to try and do it all on his own once he gets the ball at his feet.

I lost count the number of times a promising attacking move from us broke down with Dunn dribbling into a crowd of players or him holding onto the ball too long before being dispossessed. If he could just add a bit more awareness to his game of what's around him and learn that it's ok to make a simple pass to a team mate rather trying to dribble past 5 players then he would be fantastic.

Hugely promising player though and with him in the side the days of worrying about how we would replace Devitt & Miller seem a long time ago now!

I am with you Shrimpy. I thought he was the weakest link and needs to learn when to release the ball rather than dance with it at every opportunity.

Exactly what I said after the game in fact he reminds me of Carl Baker who always wanted to go past one more player when there was a pass available to a teammate in a better position. There's no doubt that Jack is a very good player already but if he can develop other parts of his game then he will undoubtedly go on to have a great career.
