why is it working?

why is it working?

Postby Jettyson » Sun Aug 28, 2016 10:39 am

Whilst enjoying many a beer last night my mate and I got into this discussion.
For me the oil which is making the machine work is Rose; he provides a cool head in the middle of the park and this instills confidence in those around him. The back four panic less, Fleming is a different player and our front four give the opposition plenty to think about with Barkys pace, Kev being Kev (but he can still play a bit!!!), Stockton as an old fashioned centre forward giving centre halves difficulties, and Dunn operating in the spaces the others provide, and doing it well.
So we are solid at the back with different attacking options up front, no longer JUST a counter attack team.

Long may it continue and if for whatever reason it doesn't I am enjoying the ride.

Any thoughts?

He is a important player as he keeps the ball rolling on the ground with Murphy returning we may get to dominate the midfield or if needed he can play as a centre back

Michael Rose has been a master stroke of a signing.

The Rochdale fans were very disappointed when he was released and their results so far suggest he is being missed at Spotland.

He is extremely quick , making nonsense of his age.

As I've said on numerous posts....that's why Jimbo was so keen to get him a couple of seasons ago.

Better late than never.

As for the transfer window, would like to see us go after a left sided player. Moly just ins't that consistent enough for me (at the moment) but given more game time he could be.... :?: :?: :?:

We're playing to our players strengths and not just accommodating them to put them anywhere on the pitch ! The signing of rose has been a big impact and the way things are going Murphy is going to have a big fight to get his place in the team along with winnard as Edwards and Whitemore have been great together as have Fleming and rose ! I expect a few changes Tuesday night at bury and rightly so as if prefer to concentrate soley on the league untill the FA cup starts.

It feels good to be a Morecambe fan again and looking forward to the next game rather than dreading it, long may it continue :D

That's exactly how our discussion started;the opposition now don't know what to expect!
