Thought they were a well organised side that passed the ball much better than us on the day, but were not particularly anything special. Good goal from Kev to get back in it, but poor to concede again they way we did. Referee had a stinker. We were not at our best today, but it was still quite an enjoyable game - a far cry from some of the bore fests we have watched over the last couple of seasons.
A week without a game is welcome as some of them looked knackered- Kev aside of course who looked like he was 21 again.

Having said that we played into their hands by persisting with the high balls to our wide men which their 6'+ defenders coped with far better than we did with their runners both from midfield and on the wings.
Once again Fleming (and not for the first time this season) had a hand in both their goals. That's now 4 to date this season. The first when his miscued clearance fell to the goal scorer whose shot took a wicked bounce just in front of Baz resulting in Baz letting the ball squirm underneath his body and the second goal came about following a vain attempt at a slide tackle by Fleming which resulted in his man taking a shot for goal that took a wicked deflection off Whitmore that wrong footed Baz.
If fellow SVers don't accept my observations, take a look at the replays...
Our strikers where well marshalled by the Orient defence and for me didn't put enough pressure on them until the last 10 minutes by which time out play had become desperate in search of an equaliser.
Have to agree that Jimbo's substitutions came too late and the inclusion of Mullers was never going to win the day as he wasn't given enough game time to be effective.
Loosing top spot is annoying but not the end of the world so early in the season. I just hope that it's not the start of a steady decline in league position because for me we haven't really controlled any of our games to date despite some excellent results with backs to the wall performances particularly in the first 45 minutes of games.
