As I have only been supporting the club for about 15 years I don't have as many 'legends' to chose from. For me it's a very easy choice, it's the man I criticise frequently, Jim Bentley . Although I don't rate him as a manager he was a consistent no nonsense defender during our dominant non league years. A leader and an organiser who we have never successfully replaced. For me a 'legend' is someone who achieves greatness whilst remaining loyal to a club, Jim fits this definition perfectly.

The term "Legend" is very subjective.

- Dave Perkins. Local lad that despite being five foot nothing outbattled most six foot Conference cloggers. Unbelievably consistent but couldn't hit a barn door with a shovel until the infamous day he scored. Went on to become one of our most successful academy products playing 10+ years in the higher divisions.
