Really disappointed today. We just didn't seem up for it on or off the field. Poor turnout from the home fans and barely heard a chant from the Omega. By contrast the Carlisle fans sounded awesome and once their team got their noses in front (very poor parry from Barry set it up on a plate) we never looked like getting back into it. Injuries or not we still had enough options on the bench to change things but as usual subs came too late to make a difference.

Still, with the events of this week I feel like this could be our ground zero as we progress on wards and upwards. Roll on Notts County and Stevenage. ;)

Agree with this. We started well but just didn't put the chances away. Will somebody please tell Baz how to be a keeper, great stopping shots at times but he does this flap and paddle back in to the centre of the box so many times its so frustrating!!

Last half hour was sh!te, said it before but the new owners wont stand for it. Changes are happening and heads will roll, in time
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

I can understand the team getting beaten...Carlisle are obviously a good side. What I can't understand is that most of you say it was a poor, lack lustre performance with the new owner(s) present. Wouldn't you try your hardest if your new boss was present? Or am I misreading some of your comments?

I dont think yesterday was too bad, we probably had more chances and more of the play than we did against Portsmouth and Blackpool and we won both those games!

They were just a good, solid, well drilled side who did a professional job on us and will probably get promoted come the end of the season. We certainly had the chances to be at least level by half time but didn't take them.

Sometimes, we have to say the opposition were better than us.
Fleming and Murphy shouldnt really be playing but no other options. For me we did play pretty well first half but didn't take our chances and gave away a daft goal.
Second half Murph was dead on his feet and with no other central midfielders available Moly replaced him which wasn't ideal.
Carlisle team are all in their prime, 27-32 age group, and that experience showed in the second half as We floundered a little.
I felt the score flattered them, as we had loads of shots on target but it just wasn't to be. Given the injuries and fitness situation, we faded and they came strong and rightly took the win.
Luckily Rosey is back now and Wakefield also, however Winnard is a month away and Kenyon and Wildig longer term so we will have to battle on.
Concerned about losing another home game, but can see Carlisle going up automatically.
Let's see what happens at Meadow Lane.

Perhaps they should have taken a punt and put Hedley (a midfielder) on instead. He trains with the team and looked good in reserve matches last season and also the friendlies in Summer.

Really can't work out why he keeps bringing on Massanka for the final few minutes. What does it achieve? Far too short a time to show anything. Again, why not take a punt and give him a proper run out, or if not, why's he even here?

Squad depth for if anything happens to Stockton.

I don't think he was signed with the intention of displacing anyone from the side.

Same with Jennings who looks like hes here to cover for Conlan whilst he's on international duty.

Good first team experience around the more senior players, dressing room and bench, perhaps, which he wouldn't be getting at Turf Moor.

I thought Carlisle were a competent side but nothing outstanding about them.

I was much more impressed by both Doncaster and Portsmouth.

They will probably be in the play-offs but I would be surprised if they are in the automatic spots.

Thought we played well first half. But once Gain some sloppy play (Baz) and we handed them the initiative. If we had taken our chances and gone in front it would have been different. Second half they showed their experience and bossed it in a very unspectacular but effective way. Still at 0-1 we were going ok then the 2nd was the killer blow.

Remember, Rose, Kenyon, Whinall and a knackered Murphy are basically our experienced combatative players and all were clearly not able to affect this game for obvious reasons. Yes we've fallen into the bottom half but surely if we have learned something from last season it's that we have to stick together and see this through. New owners, exciting times ahead. COYS!!!
