Just to recover from contemplating suicide and losing 10 stone in weight shows the determination and commitment of the sporting giant - amazing.
A great ambassador and credit for his home town Morecambe from a sporting POV. Time the town gave him some well deserved recognition - an award for outstanding sporting achievement. How many other UK towns and cities in the UK can boast a former world and possibly future world heavyweight champion boxer.
Will be interesting to see if he features on the BBCs Sports Personality of the year - an outstanding individual British sporting achievement of the year after all - and an inspiration for victims who suffer with their mental health.

You certainly cannot knock Tyson's outstanding sporting achievements in the ring. He loves Morecambe and is passionate about his home town.
So why does his home town council recognise all these but not the Gypsy giant?

Good shout, i suspect because of his Chequered past, and outbursts, but people do live and learn.
But be still a nice touch if he got some recognition off the local Council, especially if he does help out with funding homeless people and also helping mental awareness.

Homelessness means not having a home. Even if you have a roof over your head you can still be homeless. This is because you may not have any rights to stay where you live or your home might be unsuitable for you.
You may be entitled to help as a homeless person if you are:
Temporarily staying with friends or family
Staying in a hostel or bed and breakfast
Living in very overcrowded conditions
At risk of violence or abuse in your home
Living in poor conditions that affect your health
Living somewhere that you have no legal right to stay in (eg a squat)

Tyson lives in Hest Bank. I heard somewhere that he owns House Of Andersons?
