Which is the reason why the crowds are so low. People just can't be arsed to come down anymore and waste their money on this rubbish. Something HAS to change or there'll be no club.

Standard home match:

- Play decent football, create chances but don't score.
- Concede soft goal.
- Confidence drops.
- Completely fall apart.

That was bad......

Anyone know what formation we played???

I guess at 8-0-1-1......

They took the p1ss at the end we had 6 defenders to there 2 attackers and they still nearly scored

Are we aloud to play all our games a way? seems we play better and at this rate there'll be as many fans at home games as away ones

Very, very perturbed to speak to some long time fans (and I mean LONG time) on the way out who both said they are done. No more.

The home form is unsustainable and unacceptable. This year we have played and lost to Doncaster, LO, Carlisle and today was meant to be a more accurate measure of where we are with regards to our home form. I think today pretty much sums up how awful we are at home. I was on holiday for Blackpool and Portsmouth which means I have seen us lose every home league game since. I am tired of paying £21 for garbage, I am really struggling to justify it anymore. After Bournemouth and Leyton Orient I had confidence things would improve but this has completely been drained away from me. I completely understand why people are staying away. I completely understand those people not coming back until Jim is gone. The worst thing is I feel awful in myself when I doubt Jim's ability. He is a club legend and no one more than me wants him to turn it around but I just cannot see him turning around our home form. He has had many years and still not been able to crack it.
The hilarious thing is... we are not doing to bad in the league table and not all is doom and gloom BUT why should people who a. can afford to go away or b. have time to go away be the ones to see us win football games. I would hazard a guess that 75% of why home crowds are low is because of our form and that, ultimately, is down to the manager.

It's so predictable we play well should score but don't the opposition get one chance and take it then the confidence drains out of the side we lose our shape and start to panic the rest is inevitable. Something has to change before it's to late because that was totally unacceptable.

Awful. Absolutely gutless display yet again. Saturday's are becoming a depressing waste of time and money.

Yet again there was no plan B. As soon as the first goal goes in we've lost the game.

As for Barkhuizen getting MOTM, I want whatever the sponsors were on. I thought he was by far the worst player on the pitch.

1,212 is pathetic for a home game , 7th in the table.

Every home match this season seems to have been worse than the previous one. Stevenage were a poor side but we looked even poorer.

Maybe the answer is to switch all games to away !

Genuine question for those who were there, from someone who was listening to commentary.

It sounds like we had three really good chances and a penalty shout before they scored. Had we taken any one of those opportunities and gone a goal up, would we have grown in confidence and battered Stevenage? It sounded like we were playing okay until they scored, then became devoid of all ideas? Was it the width of the woodwork between a crap & happy Saturday evening?

Definite penalty denied to us late on in first half Keith. No doubt.

Today was just more of the same as others have said - we do ok for the first 20 minutes or so and then concede a soft goal which kills us.

In answer to your question Keith, maybe so. If we were more clinical and able to punish teams ourselves early in the game then maybe our fortunes would change. But even once we're a goal down early in the game, or even 2 goals down with plenty of the game to go, we should be demonstrating more desire, leadership and belief.

'Back in the day', we used to be a team with a 'never say die' attitude. When we were losing, you'd always feel like the lads could turn it round and grab a last gasp equaliser/winner. These days, if we're a goal down even with 15 minutes to go, I sort of accept that the game is lost.

We certainly should have been ahead before they scored, hitting the woodwork and having a couple cleared off the line. They were a really poor side. But we didn't take those chances, even if we didn't have that little bit of luck needed.

What isn't unlucky is our defending which is nothing short of abysmal. The first goal was vital today because Stevenage shut up shop once they got it, hoofing balls forward, time wasting and faking injuries. It doesn't matter who is playing, we can't defend.

After that, they had the upper hand and we went completely to pieces. When they had the ball, we let them play. When we had the ball, they were in our faces and stopped us playing. That was the difference. There was no passion or desire to win the game and certainly no leadership.

The second half was atrocious and quite frankly unacceptable. Fully deserved to be booed off. People are not paying to watch this turd football at home and who can blame them.
