Pretty sure I answered all of your questions in my posts. BTW, I am a lifetime season ticket holder from Christie days, which makes it even worse - (that I can't be arsed anymore!) What does that tell you, you really think you need to ask the likes of me to tell you what's gone wrong, or what needs to change? I mean come on, ffs! It hasn't 'just' happened 'over night'.
I have loads of ideas for the future of our Club, but really can't see them happening, nobody seems to listen!

People moan less about the Globe when we're playing well. But are you really suggesting that a lot of the valid points raised in this thread and others aren't issues that could be addressed to improve things for everyone?
I had the fortune of not being there on Saturday, but it seems to have been a tipping point for many that will take some effort to turnaround by the club. There's been a lot of knee-jerk, a lot of anger, but a lot of very good points raised.
Up the takeover, the club was going nowhere (at best - at worst we were heading backwards, quickly) on and off the field. The new owners don't really have any choice other than to start listening to fans if they want to turn stuff around. It isn't just on the field that's the issue, it's many fans feel they have been completely ignored and taken for granted that they will just turn up week on week and put up with it - and that's starting to not be the case.
So whilst you have a point, please don't dismiss this thread so glibly.

People trot out things like "my mate hasn't been for 2 years because the queue is too long for a pie at half time". Whilst I accept these things are valid complaints I don't for one minute think people aren't turning up to games because of these issues (although I accept there will be a handful of people who will be).
If the football was good and we were winning then yes all these complaints would still be valid but they wouldn't stop people turning up to the games.

Pretty much everyone I have spoken to regarding the new place has at least one complaint (prices of drinks/food are well up there). Yes, it's a business, but it's finally starting to bite them on the bum by people/loyal fans giving up and going elsewhere. It wouldn't take a lot (taking the quality of football out of the equation), reduce the bar prices and re-vamp the bar - its bloody awful - depressing! No atmosphere or life to it. The fact the location is now out of town is a pisser, but not something anyone can help. If it was a more appealing, friendly, fun place to drink before and after, then it's so far away from anywhere else, people would stop afterwards, myself included. Instead, D&P £1.80 a pint.... or a massive jump up to £2 if there's no football on... Point made I think. I've voiced my crappy moans about the Berlin Wall being of a worse standard than the Carwash many times on here, so no need to go there. (Not much that can be done about that suppose)... I just don't come any more, full stop.
Unfortunately, for many different reasons, seems I am not alone.

Moose wrote:(putting football back into the equation) I don't believe it is all down to money that we have to endure such crap. (I say we, but as it would be hypocritical of me to say 'we endure', I say it coming from a Morecambe fan...). I witnessed enough last season and a couple this seasons before I finally spit my dummy out and thought enough is enough. We played a fantastic game against Bournemouth, which I personally witnessed... so why does it go so very wrong against teams we should really be beating? That has got to be down to management and tactics full stop. As I stated after we lost to Bournemouth, if we played like that and lost every week it would be entertaining! - and everyone who witnessed that game would want to return if they were true fans... but no, all change, back to last season, clueless hoofs, pointless substitutions, no touchline enthusiasm... = shite management full stop and never admits he was wrong. Fed up of hearing the small club, no money, batting above our weight crap, we can play better and we have!!! Players do have a lot to answer for, but please, Jim has a team of players and appears to be doing no better than Tom, Dick or Harry, or anyone on here at picking them to play or even substituting them. We could have a vote on here as to the team and who plays and probably wouldn't do any worse at home - I challenge anyone to disagree with that.
Different players, same manager same tactics! Never too high, never too low, just getting lowerP/T Indie wrote:Amazing if you go back and read all the early posts about Jim and his excuses and 12 months later nothing has changed and people are posting identical posts tonight.

The globe experience will put a tiny percentage off from attending yet if the quality of football is shocking whose going to part with their money? Personally I think there needs to be a massive shift in tactics to a more sttacking approach though the management team has had ample time to try a more attacking approach and haven’t bothered! I’m one of the missing fans and I won’t part with my hard earned £18 for admission until something improves as this is a lot of money for me!
