Sounds bad when you sack the manager and can't line a caretaker up so go tail-between-legs back to the guy you've just sacked!

Gary Mills sacked at Wrexham.

Big club are Wrexham relegated at the end of our first season in the FL (2007/08) and they've never really been close to winning back that coveted place amongst the 92.

They finished in the playoffs 3 consecutive seasons and were losing finalists one year. That's fairly close I'd say :-)

They were robbed when Fleetwood "bought" the Conference title. They were 2nd with 98 points that would have won the Conference any other season , then they failed in the play-offs.

In the latest York City saga, Jackie McNamara has been appointed as Chief Executive of York with former Wrexham manager Gary Mills being appointed First Team Manager.

Just 2 months and 10 days after losing to us... Can we claim any responsibility?

Kenny Jackett an early replacement in the hot seat at Rotherham United.

Meanwhile, Shrewsbury's search goes on as Coley denies being approached by them for the role.

Aye, for Paul Hurst.

Just been reading about that on Twitter.

The Grimsby fans won't be too disappointed if he goes, he's never been overly popular there despite his success last season.

Karl Robinson has left MK Dons, meaning Bentley is now the third longest serving manager in the FL. Paul Hurst (Grimsby - approached by Shrewsbury) and Paul Tisdale (under pressure at Exeter) are above Jim.

Can the Grimsby boss be counted as they spent time outside the league? If he is the should Arsene be included?

Wasn't Tisdale manager while Exeter were in the conference? Arsene's never managed in the FL 8-)

Tisdale was manager on 20 May 2007 when they played the mighty Shrimps at Wembley.
