I'll be at the Coventry and Bradford cup games which I need to pay for as my season ticket of course doesn't cover those games but, my goodness, my patience is being severely tested it pains me to say.

Disappointed in Murphy today. Again.

Agreed , Murphy has so far been very disappointing. The captain has to lead by example when the team is under the cosh , not do an impression of the Invisible Man !

Winnard must surely be back next game although in place of who is a matter of conjecture.

AJ had an uncomfortable afternoon and I would put Wakefield in at right back next Sunday.

Jennings was another poor performer too.

Beginning to understand why the Cheltenham fans breathed a sigh of relief when he was sent out on loan.

How on earth did we get to this............. :(

Molyneux has really disappointed me. For some reason when we signed him I imagined him to be significantly better than he actually is. Other than his ability to strike a fierce shot I'm not sure what he offers. He has little end product, wastes possession and can't beat his man.

Kev had yet another shocker. The team as a whole played far better once he'd been sub'd. Moly played far better once he moved from the middle to replace Kev and did a couple of excellent crosses.

Why don't we have any players who can tackle or challenge for the ball? Whenever any of our players were on the ball, they were immediately challenged, but when it's their player, we just run alongside and let them come at us. Desperately missed Flemmo and Kenyon today who are the only players we have who actually try to get the ball off the opposition. The only one who did a couple of tackles was Rose - definitely MOTM for me - I hate to think where we'd be without him at the moment.

Jim will always trot out a load of stats saying how Kev is one of the fittest players in the squad. The trouble is that he no longer makes sufficient contribution to justify a start. For a lot of the match Jim stood in his technical area looking like a beaten man. He has made a massive contribution to our club but he looks like he has run out of ideas. I would agree with the MoM choice but I also thought that Stockton and Barkhuizen put a lot of effort in this afternoon. Massanka looked quite sharp when he came on and must be worth a full game.

Just watched the highlights and the first goal came about because our number 16 could not do basic control of a ball. He lost it to a speedy opponent and 3 seconds later its in our net.

And the third goal conceded resulted in Ryan Edwards shrugging his shoulders at another defender.

What happened to the Morecambe fighting spirit ??

The spirit that saw us come back to beat Woking 5-4 in January 1996.
The spirit that saw us come back to beat Crewe 4-3 in that game at Christie.
The spirit that saw us come back from 0-3 down to beat Chesterfield 4-3.

Let's have some bloody passion, fight and "never say die" back !!!!!

They were in a relegation spot at the start of the game, but were "considerably better than us".

Six league defeats on the trot.

Coventry must be worried

You were being a pedant in the other thread so...it is not six straight defeats, we beat Notts County and drew with Barnet & Colchester in last six games ;)

Agreed. To me the captaincy is vital. Its not just about tossing a coin at the start. Peter has to start asserting himself quickly and show the other players they have to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

On Saturday our team looked like they were playing a benefit match.
