Supporters trust /fcom. Meeting before Sunday?

Supporters trust /fcom. Meeting before Sunday?

Postby SupermarketShrimp » Sat Nov 05, 2016 7:38 am

Given all the recent stuff that's come out, really think we should be mobilising some kind of supporters trust.

Happy to put a lot of time and energy into this, and to help where I can.

On Sunday, (i assume most will have family commitments tonight with bonfires etc) if any of the usual faces fancy trying to start a ball rolling here, propose we meet somewhere about 11ish to try and thrash out where we are, what we can do and start approaching the club.

Many people have my number on here - happy to give to on amessage to anyone that needs it.!

The club are having an AGM very soon and organising a fans forum asap after it, I woukd imagine that will be the official response you get if you approach them, I would hang five and give them chance to have at least one opportunity to communicate with the fans before taking any action.

I agree with this.

At the very least we need one voice as fans and that, as it stands, is FCOM. Everyone who isn't a member should join, me included. They should be having a dialogue with key parties on what is going on and see what we as fans can do in the event of any sudden change for positive or negative.

Considering the way fans have been left in the dark for years under PMG's mis-management, I think that the time has run out to "wait and see" for the next AGM and fan's forum.

How many times have fans accepted PMG's hollow words in previous years as to plans etc., that turned into nothing but kept the fans "happy" (or quiet) for another year or so. PMG was allowed to run the club into the ground with ever increasing losses which basically turned the golden legacy of the sale of Christie Park into a mountain of debt!

We've heard nothing formal/official from Diego and that's a real worry after 2 months. Realistically it's going to be another couple of months before the promised fan's forum, and given Christmas and New Year, it could well be Jan/Feb before it happens, and even then, no guarantee of any real plans/information (if it's the same as previous forums with PMG), so basically that's the season gone!

Where are our directors? Diego may be the majority shareholder, but ALL directors have EQUAL powers and rights to actually run the club. It's time that us fans stood up and REQUIRED the director's to take their role seriously and insist on being part of the management and engage with fans. It seems that the directors in the past have passively rubber-stamped PMG's way of operating and look set to do the same with Diego - but they have JOINT liability/responsibility in the running of the club by being a director. We should start to put pressure on the directors to act in the interests of the club.

Have the club tried to silence FCOM? all Paul said was that he would be in the bar to chat to people seems OTT to delete such a post.

I'm not aware of any posts being deleted on here. I've not deleted anything and none of the other mods have said they have. I edited a comment that was potentially libellous, in the absence of evidence and another which probably was okay, but so close to the edge that I decided to 'play safe'.

The club have not asked me for any posts to be removed.

Thanks for clarifying the conspiracy theory! It's running in another thread too.
