Is it just a way of getting around the transfer window, cant belive for one minute that it would be purely to save on his wage.

Exactly what I thought. Technically we can't sell him outside of thw window so we have agreed to cancel the contract, Tom goes to PNE and hopefully PNE have agreed to offer some sort of compensation ££

The clubs can agree compensation now, or go to a tribunal, I strongly suspect they will announce very soon they have reached agreement for an ''undisclosed'' amount, that way, we get paid quickly, and Preston can have Tom in training ready for January.

Is this the start of asset stripping?

It doesn't bode well when the adviser to Deigo turns out to be a finance broker.

Is the future just a matter of sale & leaseback of the club's assets to raise finance?
