Fan's Club Communication

Fan's Club Communication

Postby Shrimps Trust » Tue Nov 08, 2016 5:59 pm

Following on from the discussion's after the game on Sunday and on here, Yesterday I sent the following Email to the club. Some of the personal question's I thought may be better asked in person when there is a Fan's Forum. Some of the other question's would not be answered at board level but I will ask to the relevant people when I can.

To Whom it may Concern,

As you may be aware after Sunday's game a small group of fan's had a discussion in the bar. As elected members of the Fan's Club we put ourselves forward to act as a go between, between the fans and the board. At the time we suggested that any questions could be put to us and we would put them forward to you. The following is a list of questions and concerns that fan's raised.

1) With the new ownership will there be better communication with the fan's?

2) Who is actually running the club at the moment day to day?

3) What role are the other directors playing at the moment?

4) The PFA suggested selling a player to pay the wage's. Is this a possibility and would this not deplete an already small squad?

5) Why advertise for new youth coaches, when current staff have been unpaid?

6) Is there any movement on the ground name?

7) What plans do you have to increase attendances and get customers back?

8) Do we yet have a confirmed date for a fan's forum?

9) Would the Board welcome a move to create a Fan's Trust, to support the work the Board are looking to implement?'

I hope you may be able to answer some if not all of these questions

Paul Carter (Fan's Club)

When/If I get any answers I will post them here.

Thanks for the information Paul, much appreciated.

If any reply is received if it could be posted on here please as I tend not to really read the "Fans" page on Facecloth that much.

Thanks mate.

As you can see I have not posted on here before, but I feel I should respond to this thread.

This is Nigel Adams (Vice Chairman and Director). Communication with fans has always been hugely important to me. For better or worse, Mike Hinchcliffe and I set up the Board/fans communication committee which meets occasionally. In these meetings, I hope I have been totally open and honest

I am personally very pleased that F-CoM are reaching out towards the Board, and assisting in the communicatiion with fans, as well as asking questions. In return, I will do whatever I can to answer your questions and respond to this approach.

I do not know who has got your e-mail Paul, I have not seen it. I do not think answering the questions with one liners on here is the best way forward, but will happily meet with your group any time I can to discuss any matters. I really do care about the relationship between the club and its fans and respect the fact that fans have a right to know what is going on - unless occasionally prevented by confidentiality.

Please feel free to get in touch with me and we can talk.

Let me just qualify Ken's post for you Nigel. Most of us are friendly, most of the time, and we all think we have the club's best interests at heart. Welcome on board Nigel. ;)

Great debut Nigel. Crucial intervention there in the middle of the thread. Nice finish too.

Thanks for all your investment of money, time and support for the club. We wouldn't have been here without you.
