BBC North West News club feature.

A short feature on the club and its current plight has just been on BBC North West News and will no doubt be repeated this evening circa 6.30pm

It showed the team getting onto a coach provided by Attkinsons of Ripon. Not our usual travel company.

Just hope that the coach was up to the clubs and players expected standards and not another cost cutting measure.

Minimum of 4 wheels and about 30 seats should do the job!

Indeed, a number of fans were approached on Tuesday night at the Bradford City game by the BBC NW Team who were looking for quotes about the current plight of the club.

I was approached by Tim Padfield and a cameraman (I know Tim really well and have for many, many years), but politely declined the offer.

Jim did confirm in the interview that the untimely departure of Tom B WILL bring much needed finances into the club...so the posts suggesting that we would receive nothing other than wages for Tom B sound to be wide of the mark....KS take note...

Flipping heck Neil, what do you expect when they've struggled to pay wages, Ellisons? Of course it's going to be cost cutting and good to see that they are doing their best to pay the players again next month.

The club posted on Twitter before that the club shop won't be open tomorrow. I suspect this is another cost cutting measure.

Understandably so too. Can't see why it would need to be open on a non match day Saturday.

The late night Thursday and Friday til 6pm's though do come in very handy !!

It's all about team moral. They've had one hell of a period of late what with no wages etc. To be faced with a long journey on the M6 /M1 on a Friday in a coach that may not provide them with the usual facilities and personal comfort will be another blow to their morale. I'm not suggesting travel in style like some clubs do via Ellisons as an example but (assuming that the supplied coach isn't up to the standards of their usual travel :?: ) it'll be another factor in the moral of the squad which may not be at its highest at the moment.

Don't worry everyone, you're not getting paid next month but there's a heater on the coach.

You're both in fact wrong. M6, M5, M42, M40 much much better, couple of miles longer but much quicker avoiding the airport and also average speed cameras

There are certain things that in my book you don't cut back on and travel and overnight accommodation is certainly two in my opinion.

Cut back on the freebies for a start....

When we (possibly) didn't pay them with all the documented issues of this week?

You have to cut back when you don't have the money. After the well publicised week, an expensive coach company has more to lose than a cheap one so who do you think is going to offer the club their services?

Come on Neil, don't just cast the evil eye, explain yourself.

I travel this route regularly including Saturdays and peak times midweek unfortunately. You're right the M6/M5 junction can be a nightmare because of the roadworks ON THE M6 at this junction and it's a matter of personal preference really but I personally think the M5 wins every time without a doubt
