To be fair Richard Askam did say Diego felt his grasp of English was insufficient to take an interview at the moment.

He does seem hands on , turning into his office at the Globe and seems to attend most matches.

Call me "glass half full" but I think we will be ok once all the transitional problems have been ironed out.

I noticed that BBC 's Richard Askam is now a member of Shrimps Voices.

Cut back on the freebies for a start....

You have to cut back when you don't have the money. After the well publicised week, an expensive coach company has more to lose than a cheap one so who do you think is going to offer the club their services?

Come on Neil, don't just cast the evil eye, explain yourself.

I've told you what I think....I just don't agree on cutting back in travel or overnight accommodation, in my opinion it will affect team moral and after what the players and the management have been through, wondering if and when they would be paid, moral could be at an all time low.

I however accept that others will see cutting back on coach travel as necessary...I just don't agree.

To coin one of your favourite phrases, what would your suggestion be?

I already asked which freebies you wanted stopped, but you either didn't see or ignored the question.

It was proven many years ago that transport was a factor in away performance but today, at least they've got a company to get them to the match.

So, given current circumstances, how would you fund the transport you think they deserve? What should the club sacrifice?

Neil, staff weren't paid last month. I think prioritising paying wages takes precedence over luxury coach travel. The previous provider may have pulled out due to not being paid, and other local companies don't want to get involved due to the current situation (all hypothetical, obviously). It's going to cost more to get a coach from Ripon, I would have thought, but we don't know the whys and wherefores of it. It may even be to the same standard, but as I said at the start, make sure we can pay the wages before we worry about luxury, and I'm sure the players understand that.

regarding expenses and attracting players to work for Morecambe FC on a daily basis, think we should look back to training in Preston again or Lancashire for obvious reasons.

might even help home form with players only coming to Morecambe every other week to play on match day.

I would be happy to pay for all the MFC staff transport to away games for the rest of season. If anyone from the club wants to take me up on that offer, please contact me. Happy to pass on my personal mobile number if needed.

You could pm Rural Shrimp with an offer like that. He is Nigel Adams , Vice Chairman and a director of the football club.

I completely disagree with Neil on the low morale point and the coach travel. Nothing should bring together players and fans more than adversity. If we're all on the same page it brings us altogether and makes us stronger.

Dagenham, to save money, caught a train to York and walked to the ground. They did it because they needed to cut their cloth according to their income. As a result they broke even rather than lose £700k a year. Ironically when they were spending money from the Dwight Gayle sale add-ons they went down.

A fan wants to sponsor the club travel.
We're so skint our very existence has been a real concern.
George decides the best response is to take the piss.

Well done George, what are you doing to help the club?

Nice one Dan, hope the club contact you.

What a fantastic gesture by Dan.....

As for my response to certain posters asking me to explain where the club should look at for much needed extra cash....the following will not go down with fans but here goes.

1 Increase all alcohol prices by up to 10% that is consumed in the Wright and Lord Suite only.

2 The club has its own mini bus. That should be used to transport the Merseyside and Manchester based player to and from The Globe on training days, saving on players claiming travel expenses. The coach would be based with Ken McK at his Wirral home.

3 The club should make obtaining a sponsor for the Stadium as an urgent priority. I've already posted about progressive companies based in Heysham.

4 Fans at all levels should agree to buy ONE half time draw ticket with the chance of winning a cash prize.

5 The formation of a 100 club where fans would agree to pay a minimum of £10 per month with a prize draw per month of £250.

6 Ensure that ALL away fans who have access to the Globe Car Parks pay a parking fee of £5.00.

I fully expect a lot of critical feedback regarding the above. BUT I've not seen many suggestions from SVers as to how the club increases its revenue.

Quick to criticise but slow to make suggestions....

If there are any spare sponsors boxes , maybe Shrimp-Voices could sponsor one in a similar way to "timeshare" property and people on SV could use it.
