New 100 Club

Oh well, thanks for the info Colin. I recall winning something 'twice' and consequently donating something as a prize that wasn't written into the Ts & Cs so wasn't allowed to

Who officially runs the prize draw? Is it the club itself, F-com, or another group? Only those party to any agreement can be bound by it. So if it's the club itself, ie Morecambe FC Limited, then F-com can run the 100club.

Why are people intent on setting something up in direct competition to the official club lottery, anyone with time to spare ,wanting to ''aid the cause'' should obviously contact Colin and offer to help him.

That's a bit like the model T Ford only available in black. What's wrong with having a choice? Why would you think it's in competition?

Some people may want to do both = extra income for the club.

Some people may have chosen not to join the existing lottery and may prefer the higher stake and higher prize of a 100 club.

I'm sure lots of people are in a 100 club as well as buying lottery tickets or other forms of raffle.

Even if it is in competition, surely that would be better overall for the club if it brought in more money, i.e. if people paid £10 per month rather than £1 per week. What's the problem if the existing scheme income dropped a little if the new scheme brought in more than the amount lost?

The club and it's fans really must lose this mentality of "we've always done it this way" and putting up obstacles to change. There's nothing wrong with exploring new ideas - if, AFTER, proper research and consideration, a new idea is deemed unworkable then fair enough.

This may be the reason the club can't endorse a 100 club ...

Rule 5: The Club agree not to join, promote or endorse any other draws other than the Gold Bond Draw with the exception of the Half Time match draw under this agreement. In the event of the club doing so a penalty payment of £5,000 will be due to the society.

Surely FCOM could run their own 100 club?

FCOM could then donate a chunk of money to the club each month.

The money donated and the proceeds from the 100 club would be entirely unrelated of course ;)

As far as I understand it, the £1 per week is just a minimum and you can pay a larger subscription.

I pay £13 every 3 months by standing order , so £52 per year.

Could Lottery Dept. confirm that we just increase our S.O. to have more entries in the draw or is more paperwork required.

You can certainly increase the standing order. All I would ask is that you let the department know so that we can then produce more lucky numbers in your name and allocate the funds accordingly

We do have some supporters who do £10 per week in support of the official club lottery

In regards to prizes, the weekly jackpot in the Goalden Gate Superdraw is £1,000 with lots of other prizes as well

What is the Morecambe FC Development Association?

Does the lottery money go direct to the running costs of the club or just development, is this youth development?

Does the lottery still get run from Blackpool or did we leave that one? back in the day I think 50p in every £1 went to the club the rest went mainly on the prize fund and then some admin. The draw used to also make around £40K a year for the club (a very significant amount) but this was probably 7/8 years ago.

So, is the prize as vague as "you can win up to £1000"

there are 3 ways to win, but win what

(i) 10 lucky numbers which will be entered each week on your behalf into the "Goalden Gate Superdraw"
(ii) 1 entry per week into our "Birthdate Draw"
(iii) Automatic entry into our "Shrimps Draw" Monthly Draw.

(i) is this the up to £1000 prize

(ii) whats the prize
(iii) same question to number three please Cilla

In view of the news that the proposed 100 Club can't be linked to the club in an official capacity I would urge all those who expressed an interest to join in the clubs Golden Gate scheme.

I genuinely didn't realise the implications and complications involved in establishing a new revenue stream for our club. As a result whilst I still feel that such a revenue stream could have been operated outside of the clubs structure, I feel that it would be prudent for us all to join the Golden Gate scheme and continue to support our club in an established money raising scheme.

I'm obviously sorry that once again 'red tape' has scuppered what I believe would have been a successful venture.....but the scheme could have put in doubt an already well establish alternative that could have put even more pressure on the current financial position of our club.

Agree entirely.

To be honest, I only knew it was there as I was browsing the Club Shop website yesterday.

Which incidentally, needs the new coats and gilets adding to the website stock page...!! Hint hint.

What do people think of this?
The FCOM Corporate Dining Club
100 members pay £10 every month for 12 months
You then get entered into a draw 1 week before every home game. 4 names will be drawn out for every game.

If you a drawn out you receive 5 tickets for the executive box ( 20 max in box )
You can only be drawn out once in a season.
EVERBODY will have 5 tickets at some point.
Basically FCOM would be paying £1000 a month for a box.
Member would receive emails of coperate deals when
It's quiet.

The idea would be to start taking the first payment in June so when the first game kicks off in August, we have a couple of grand in the account.
It just seems crazy to have to empty boxes .

Thank you for your comments

In regards to the prizes (result sheets always available in the club shop)

Weekly prizes are:
£1,000
£150
£100
£75
2 x £50
4 x £25
20 x £10
30 x £5

so a total of £1,875 in the Superdraw PLUS the rolling "birthdate draw" PLUS the monthly "Shrimps Draw" (which is exclusive to members in the Moreacambe part of the draw)

So, re the £1,000 per week prize, what are the odds? It is just Morecambe FC subscribers who get it or is it a single prize over the entire spread of the superdraw, i.e. throughout the North West? How many tickets are sold qualifying for that £1,000?

As stated previously there is a prize pool with the participating clubs all paying into it and that is for all entrants. The monthly shrimps draw (where you can win match tickets and other donated prizes) is for members in the Morecambe section only

As for "odds" the honest answer is I do not know on a weekly basis as the draw is administrated from the Midland Sporting Association (a non profit organisation).

If anyone wishes to speak to me at the game tomorrow please make yourself known either via the front desk or the club shop prior to the game as I would be happy to discuss in person and hopefully the supporters would then understand what we do as a department. Over to all of you!

Agents required in
Heysham, Beaumont / Skerton, Ridge, Carnforth, Bare and Galgate - can you help?
