I didn't realise the land was held by a trust ( not that I understand how it works) and my fear was the club went tits up and Diego sold the land for the builders to extend the new estate being built at present

Could they get round that by including a play ground in any housing estate?

An excellent question that could satisfy the Trust's objectives.... :?: :?: :?:

The trust deed for Christie Park said the land was for the football club and if football ceased it would revert back to the children of the town. I assume the sentiments of this are in the trust deed for the Globe. We'll need to keep a close eye on things.

And why did other previously interested parties walk away did they see something Diego didn't notice

Or maybe Diego didn't read SVs like the others apparently did

Because they wouldn't or couldn't agree to the conditions that Peter McG wanted for our club's future... :?: :?: :?:

Hope i'm wrong but this reminds me of Wolves 30 years ago when the Bhatti brothers took over. Ok maybe on a smaller scale but a worry non the less.

If that's the case then Diego must have assured PMG and we're all worrying about nothing

I have been to another spiritualist meeting, the ghost of JB Christie told me again he is most displeased, he thanked me again for passing his messages on and has rewarded me by telling me saturdays match outcome, he has correctly told me 3 results so far and I have collected nearly £700 , he said to me today ''Tell them they have been sold down the river , all is not lost though'' he will pass further instructions soon regarding his wishes.

I bet it hasn't told you to donate your winnings to the club. That £700 less your stake would pay the wages of one squad player....take ya pick who... ;)

It doesn't know this weeks lottery numbers by any chance.... :?:

Neil, I give what I can afford to charity , I am happy to support the ones of my own choosing, but I never donate my money to Millionaires to spend on their ''toys'' .

Thats the big problem Sam , nobody knows what the hell is going on in the background , foreground or playground. Suppose Gerry sold his business and sailed off to distant shores and Diego Birdseye took over and all of a sudden your wages stopped being payed into your bank , would you carry on regardless until the end of January and perform to the upmost of your ability. I think players and staff need to know now where their future lies , and a bit of info for the paying public wouldn't go amiss either. ;)

Hopefully people will get on board with a Supporters trust (more news on that very soon) or we are f**ked

I agree the only problem I see is you prob really need 1000 members to make it work not just 30 or so off here. It's how do we engage that many people and not just the die hards and will the general supporters/public have the appetite for it if things do go really bad or will we just be left with a couple of hundred people.

I see it like this, Diego made a statement telling us there's been an hiccup with bank accounts and that the players will be paid in the coming week, and they got paid.

just give him the benifit of doubt until the next pay day and see if there's any problems.

I believe he's been to the majority of the games since becoming owner, so it's not like he's not interested .

You really do have to take your hat off to Jim and Kenny. It must be really hard trying to manage a football team with all the things off the field going on or not going on. Losing your best player and having no say in it. Wages paid late. Half the team made up of loanees who could be gone the first week in January.

I wonder what Arsenne Wenger would do under similar circumstances :o :o

Maybe for England job , make it Bury Job. You really couldn't blame Jim if he was offered that and took it.

Seriously, I have no desire to be negative. In fact, I am as desperate as anyone to see a positive outcome and loads of cash appear. I also want a Supporters Trust so we can make sure this never happens again.

However, the comment is ludicrous. We didn't pay our players and staff and then he came up with the money. But he did it by effectively selling Tom Barkhuizen, arguably our best player, to Preston North End. It didn't from Brazil or Qatar, it came from Preston.

Peter Murphy on Radio Lancs tonight stated that as far as the players were concerned "it was just a little blip with it being the owners' first month and everything should now be in place". So maybe we're all worrying about nothing!

Say I'm in denial if you like, but I really do not want to consider Posh's near-apocalypse scenario yet. No criticism of Posh, by the way, I just hope he's completely wrong. I don't have a lot of money, but I would be willing to consider contributing to some form of trust, depending on terms, and league status is not one of the conditions.
