Not making excuses for Jim - we didn't deserve anything out of the game today as we were clearly second best.

But.... we should've had a penalty in the first half when Murphy was rugby tackled in the box, and we also should've done better with the couple of chances that we did muster - Ellison 1st half blazed over when the ball was played back to him, and Stockton second half who shot high and wide - we should be working the keeper with those chances, as it was the keeper wasn't tested all afternoon.

No complaints from me for Whitmores red; he won the ball but the challenges were wreckless and born out of frustration over how crap we were overall I think. The second time this has happened with Alex in similar circumstances; clearly a bit 'hot-headed'. When January comes I hope he decides that he wants to stay here and fight for us.

Peter Murphy - complete waste of time yesterday. I get he is overcoming serious injuries, but he gives us nothing, his effort is substandard, and he is a mere passenger at the moment. Seconds before Luton scored their opener, Jim yelled 'too easy Peter' - and clearly it was, not a glowing endorsement of our captain... our leader. Throwing his water bottle away when rightly being lynched (perhaps in disappointment) - was also a bit embarrassing; needs to show it on the pitch because he is a handicap in the team at the moment and his performances do not merit selection.

I heard that a Luton fan spat in the face of a Steward - which if true is completely abhorrent and has no place in society, let alone a football match. The alleged perpetrator is known amongst their support for being a wanker, so I'm unsure why their fans protested so much against the ejection and appeared to make the situation ten times worse.

Did I rightly hear and see their manager gesticulating and shouting "get him out" while this was going on?

I think the red card was deserved. In my opinion, both feet were off the ground, therefore 'out of control', therefore dangerous/reckless play and a straight red. He may just about have got the benefit of the doubt if it hadn't been seconds after a previous borderline tackle.

Do we have a team of fit & available players for Tuesday?

So how did that work out then?

With Whitmore suspended and Winnard injured again, it will be interesting to see how the defence lines up.

And no Kenyon either.

Surely Wakefield and Conlan will start.

Doubt it.
Jim doesn't appear to think they're as good as McGowan and Jennings.

I thought Jennings was particularly poor yesterday.

Interesting take on our stewarding by the Luton fans:
