Players we've released

I know Beeley and Parrish had poor seasons last year but surely they are better defenders than some of the current team?

Beeley is highly rated at Barrow and is playing well.

Perhaps there were "other" factors into him being released.

Like being a bad influence in the dressing room maybe. Or otherwise.

I noticed last season that beeley was packing mass! Still better than what we have now!

Beeley was offered numerous deals to stay at the club but he rejected all of them. He then went to Barrow who are paying him more than we could afford.

I think Parrish was a similar situation in that we told him we couldn't afford to pay him what he was on previously and he decided to leave despite us wanting to keep him on reduced terms. I could be wrong though.

These players were being released when it looked like investment was imminent, and we were looking up, not down, so we never tried very hard to keep either, Barrows probably the right level for a fitter Beeley, Paz is , I believe, no longer playing.

Craig Stanley has been talking up a return to the club on his twitter. Anyone fancy the Nomadic Richard Brodie on a loan deal?

Only for a month though, plenty of time for him to come in and change our fortunes! Would love to see him back in the red shirt again, a lad with a bit of passion!

And, to be fair, one who engaged with the fans.

He would be a welcome addition given the scarcity of fit midfielders, especially tall ones with an engine. Know he's been doing the milk run of bankrolled conference sides mind so no idea what he's got left

Turning out for his local side by all accounts. He would look like Pirlo in our midfield!

We released him and wouldn't want Stanley back. Plenty of midfielders in the football pyramid even for loan purpose. We move on or try to with all the drama unfolding at the club.

Stanners was so proud of playing for Morecambe he told a girlfriend he worked in IT, and it was the young lady in question told me that. Just saying, like...
