The Rumour Mill

The Rumour Mill

Postby fulwoodshrimp » Sat Nov 26, 2016 7:56 pm

A much improved performance today against Plymouth but in the absence of any information from the club, the rumour mill is having a field day. At today's game, one rumour was that the club is going into administration shortly. A related rumour is that Diego is heading up a consortium in Qatar but is now unable to make contact with them for any funds!! Any truth in this story is truly bizarre. I would welcome a statement from PMG on this developing saga as his reputation in the development of our club is being clouded by the absence of any information from the club. Spectators will be anxious to learn if we have been sold down the river. Continuing lack of any information will only lead to more damaging rumours . The ex-owner, the new owner and the board imo owe fans an explanation of what exactly is going on.

...and another one pre match is that our existing board have been trying for the last fortnight to make contact with Diego but he hasn't answered either his phone or emails.

What happens if the new owners renaig on their agreement to buy? Does that mean we are put up for sale once again! Would Pmcg be allowed to keep any money that he may have received? If so does that mean a consortium of current and former directors could submit a more favourable bid to Peter?

Odd rumour then if he's "not answering calls or emails" but might have been there today?!

Does the owner of a business need to be there every week?

At a time of "businesses as usual" probably not, at a time of perceived or actual crisis probably should !

You're absolutely right. I have it on authority that he was out with his mates from the Brazilian community in Bentham on an away day to the Pencil Museum in Cockermouth. Picked a bad day but there you go.

Just got back from the Hawkesbury river and I'm sure I saw Diego on a barbeque boat with Russell Crowe and Elle McPherson!

That's just a rumour

So how did that work out then?

I wish somebody from the board would come out and deny these rumours.... then we could all draw a line under them.

I'm sketching an idea of what's happening but I could have done with a sort of graph (iteration) from the chairman and new board members before derwent away . . .

I'm probably adding to the rumours there. Maybe I should erase that?

You have to look at who's starting the rumours. Most of them are characters who you could describe as shady.

Derwent away is my favourite so far, excellent work Bare Bum... you should get put on the Honours Board (HB).
