The ''sardarse'' meetings are chaired by Nigel Adams and Mike Hinchcliffe, 2 directors, they are informal and anyone is welcome, they have been attended by several fans, including outsider and other members of FCOM, not a great deal has been achieved by them so far, but they are an avenue to approach the board with questions and suggestions, but they have unfortunately coincided with the protracted sale of the club, some people seem to think they aren't worth attending, but they are an avenue, and it's better than nothing.

MPH how did it come about that a sadist meeting could be arranged before anyone met with FCOM despite them requesting a meeting a couple of weeks ago.

FCOM had a meeting the prior to other one, I would briefly sum it up by saying , The different departments of the club are being managed by their existing managers, so at the moment it is business as usual, on the bright side ,all the rumours circulating around about the new owner are without foundation and ridiculous, but on the downside, it would appear nobody including the board , seems to know what Diego's plans are, there was an expert on supporters trusts , who seemed to think that done in the right spirit, by a united supporters group doing it for the right reasons, they can be very beneficial, my personal opinion is that if the new owner isn't sharing much info with his board, he will be less inclined to do so eith the fans, so the Trust needs supporting out, with the right people at the helm, ASAP for the long term good of Morecambe FC.

Cheers it does make me wonder have they only organised these meetings now that we have gone ahead and arranged the trust meeting.

I initially thought that, but Hinchy is an honest bloke and a real supporter, as I'm sure Nigel is, and they will want the best for the club, I think they want to keep fans informed but have little to tell them, which is a worry.

How are they without foundation and ridiculous, "Because we said so" is not a good enough line TBH. It's very simple to quash all these rumours and conjecture, but coming out and saying it's nonsense simply isn't good enough.

Why don't we know what Diego's plans are, surely we must be at a point where Jim needs to know what, if any money exists for squad strengthening, and I assume the commercial department will need to know things like trying to sell advertising space, the name of the ground, etc etc?

Who is attempting to hold all of it to account for the good of a) the employees and b) the fans?

Good point Supermarket, and I was wondering things like this on my drive this morning.

Little things (but major things) like kit deals for next season for example??

Who is negotiating / arranging these at the moment ??

Surely things like this would be in motion and being planned now?

which brings me back to the question.....if Diego owns the club but is not communicating his thoughts for the future with any of his staff or even the other board members what is he up to? Why did he buy the club in the first place?

I think we all appreciate that all the to and fro and procedure from buying a multi million pound business takes time to fully integrate and sort out, but telling his stakeholders and employees for me is absolutely essential. He doesn't have to go through the full nuts and bolts but coming out and explaining where we are at and where are going is pretty much Management 101.

+1

If what he's bought isn't what 'he' perceived it to be?

I understand that Diego has /is already in discussions with contractors about the building of the office development on the North Terrace as well as seeking a sponsor for the stadium rights.

Has planning permission already been approved?

If ....no... WHEN the office development is completed it is expected to bring in additional funds that could be circa £200,000 per annum to OUR club.

Call me a pessimist but I continue to get a funny feeling about the purchase of the club. The lack of any meaningful communication from the new owners is strange. The news that directors don't know what's going on is bizarre. In the absence of any statement, rumours will abound. A well run club would quickly put gossip to bed by issuing a clear, unequivical statement- we have total silence!

Which contractors Neil? Which sponsors? Where's the planning application? How much will it cost? How will it be funded? When are they intending to build it? Which businesses have been interested in hiring office space slap bang in a housing estate when much better locations exist in Morecambe and Lancaster to then generate this magical £200k a year?

As someone who has been keeping an eye on office space for around 6 months it seems there's little demand for them. The offices available when I first looked before the summer are still available now and they're in much better locations (Northgate, central Lancaster (White Cross, Storey, CityLab, Riversway)) than the Globe. All have been empty for months. With the new bypass proving to be a success, I would imagine Lancaster Business Park will look to grow again.

Also, I'm no expert on this but wouldn't an office block that brings in £200k (in Morecambe) be huge?
