Can't wait for feedback! I hope it is well attended. The woman from the Supporter's Trust spoke really well on Radio Lancs, so we've got someone with experience here too. :D

Some great posts in this thread! Positivity breeds positivity :D :D :D

Hope it goes well and there's some good discussion. Happy to chuck in some money if there's a monthly trust subscription or whatever.

Well attended tonight. Maybe 100+? Pretty much everyone voted for the trust, so hopefully this can be up and running soon.

Very positive meeting tonight, it appeared to be a unanimous vote in favour of setting up the supporters trust which was very encouraging.

Yes 100% of about 120. Won't do the details as Paul will be doing it by tomorrow afternoon.

There is a video of the Supporters Trust presentation on Fcoms Facebook.

Good to meet Fulwoodshrimp

Nicola and the head table were composed and informative.

Great meeting last night. Healthy turnout and solid support for "our club". I am confident the Trust will prosper and do great things for the Shrimps. Meeting well organised and Nicola from the Football Trust was inspirational. Good to meet Marky at same time.

Interesting that the football club was founded at a meeting at the cricket club in 1920.
96 years later and the Supporters' Trust is formed at the cricket club.

If it carries on like this, I might come to like cricket! :D

Hi all

My first post on Shrimps Voices after hiding in the background for many reasons (including far too much in-fighting! ;-) ).

I was not able to make it last night due to other commitments but would love to be involved. I've been a season ticket holder for many years and have a quite a long standing family history with the club (back to my Great Uncle, Clarrie Hollings).

I run a small marketing and design agency have sponsored the club in various ways where I can. A client of mine is also a platinum partner (I think that's what they are called now!) of the club and keen to see it do it well as I'm sure you can imagine.

I am sure more will put up soon about how to get involved but thought I would put a quick post on here!

Cheers

If the newly formed Football Trust's steering committee feel sponsoring a game would be good publicity to launch the trust I'll pay for the sponsorship as long as I get two places!! I feel this would not only publicise the trust but could also raise funds to help the trust if other places were sold to trust members and the trust kept these funds. My offer is on the table for the steering committee.

A nice gesture, wait for the trample for free hospitality!

Can I suggest that the people that go (are invited) on this, pay an agreed amount into the 'fund'

The biggest surprise for me last night was finding out FCOM had 300 members :o

There was me worrying we wouldn't have a large enough membership to pull it off but now I think we will easily get 500+

Can't wait for the launch party :D

I was shocked by the 300 figure quoted by Paul too. Fantastic though.

If we get 500 members at £10 per head per annum (just as a guesstimate) that's £5k in the kitty.

Social media last night (Twitter) was alive with other clubs Supporters Trusts wishing us well and welcoming us to the "family".

I know it will take a little while to sort things out, and I don't expect full information immediately, but can anyone give an indication as to when there'll be some information about how the trust is to work and what subscriptions etc might be? As I said yesterday, I couldn't make the meeting, otherwise I'd presumably be better informed.

Dear Mr Anderer,
It became clear that the large gathering of people were all in favour of the trust.
More importantly the process to set up a new venture will take until probably mid to late January to complete. There are hoops to be jumped through and boxes to be ticked, when ratification occurs then a bank account can be set up in the trusts name (again the name is yet to be decided) and the process of actually recruiting members can begin.
The 300 members of FCOM will be automatically transferred, so you could arguably join FCOM now and you would be in the trust when its up and running.
The lady presenting the little talk was clued up and spoke very well, she will be available every step of the way to help the Trust become a reality, which is re-assuring. The meeting was really to see if there was a will to do it.
It was great to see so many familiar faces, and long since seen some of them were, but everyone who turned up was enthusiastic about this venture.
Well done to Rich (Supermarket Shrimp) on pushing this whole idea with his passion and enthusiasm, and well done to FCOM with Outsider, Red Red Wine and Mark S for grasping the opportunity given to them and running with it.
WE might fight like cat n dog on here and Bacefook, but we are all fans for the same reasons.

Riche spoke passionately about trying to re-discover what we have lost as fans and a club since the move, and rightly spoke about away fans looking forward to an away trip to us as the welcome and the craic was good. Remember coming off 4-0 down at Daggers in the play offs at half time, 600 of us applauding them off and singing, at 4-0 down. That's what he was on about. The Trust at least can pull us all in the right direction and help get that togetherness back IMO.

There was a suggestion of a launch party, which if everyone attended, in the W&L or Brill lager n Bog would kick it off with a bang also.
Hope that helps.

Did I also see locally based BBC North West Tonight Newsreader and Radio Lancashire presenter Graham Liver there last night too?

if that's the case, could people have details of joining Fcom on here, for people who have just started reading SVs with recent news of the trust?

let's get the ball rolling now!

PS even do a sticky thread at the top of the board locked, just so people can go through and join that way?
