Details of Last FC Meeting

Postby marky No.1 » Thu Dec 08, 2016 12:25 pm

The specifics of the actual transfer of shares would remain private as there was no obligation for particular details to be divulged.

Diego Lemos does not head a consortium, his company will own his shares

The Club explained that the AGM was now overdue but the Club were endeavouring to hold it as soon as reasonably practical. The new owner would need to be part of that AGM

It was intended to hold a Fans Forum straight after the AGM.

The change of names for the Globe Arena Bar & Grill and the Club Shop had been approved to Legends Bar and Shrimps Store. It was hoped to rebrand the bar at some point soon.

The sale, with much supporting evidence, had gone to the English Football League for their consent (which had been duly given).

Yet some people will still worry endlessly...

We'll stop worrying when the owner outlines ambitious plans for the club, strengthens the squad in the January window and staff wages are paid without the need to sell players! Oh, there's me dreaming again!!

Aye, its great that the sale had been approved by the league but that will of been based on all the evidence given to them. A lot of that would have things like 'agrees to do this and that' in terms of paying stuff and handing stuff over.

Whats happened since then in terms of all that actually happening and the agreements still being honoured and everything being as it was described when the agreements were made - and people who had agreed to pay for things still being happy to do so...

Thats whats worrying people - naturally.

Is he back in the country yet, anyone know?

I'll stop worrying if he sets out plans to keep the club in being let alone strengthening the squad in January.

His shares may well be owned by his company, but the finances for that company may come from Qatar who I would assume will have some say over all matters relaring to company expenditure.

Why are there dual Chairmen which suggests to me that the finances are influenced from Qatar :?: :?: :?:

I'm not that well versed in company law so no doubt someone on here will correct my assumption if I've got it wrong.

It's interesting that the FA run a course for owners on what is expected when running a Football club. The Leeds chairman is being forced to go on it in April.
It would do Diego no harm on going on it.

Just one Chairman, but 2 vice-Chairmen.
Diegos 'companies' were only set up this year, so there is no information, balances are nil...

Some offshore investors don't like bringing their wads over, as it can soon be subject to tax..

The Leeds Chairman is facing another ban and a big fine for breaching agent rules
