Newport Saturday

A win here would create a small gap between us n them going into the Christmas period. Anyone know of any pubs near by for pre match beers ?

I would not be surprised if the game is off.
They will make no attempt to make their horrendous pitch playable and that will give them fresh legs for their biggest game in the history of Newport on Tuesday. ;)

There are 6 pages about the pitch on their forum

http://www.weareexiles.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=42552

Nobody discussing the Morecambe game at all and nearly 12,000 views on the FA Cup 3rd Round thread :!:

There is a wetherpersons (Godfrey Morgan) about 10-15 mins walk. With pay and display car park opposite it. Do a good range of real Ale's and Cider's, and usual cheap and cheerful food.

There is quite a bit of rain forecast tommorow for South Wales, beginning to get a wobble on about travelling after reading this thread and looking at the forecast , wise counsel appreciated .

I've decided to give tomorrow a miss now as there's a chance it could be off with heavy rain tonight.

Did not want to put people off from traveling but I've got a funny feeling that they won't pay much attention to the pitch over the next 2 days. Two words .....Graham Westley :?

Newport Countys FA Cup replay vs Plymouth Argyle is on Wed 21st December I think. It's been moved for TV coverage on BT Sport. The winner plays Liverpool away in the third round.

I sense a grovel having put off a few of us going, meaning lack of support, travel being dearer, cheers and Merry Christmas to the grim reaper household

What's with the apostrophes?
I'm guessing they are grocer's apostrophes, and therefore not required.

I'd recommend to have a go with the semi-colon; you can use them often and no-one challenges whether you've used them correctly or not. They're the super-stealth weapon of the grammar world.

There's only two occasions when you need an apostrophe: possessive and apologetic; don't use them when you are writing a plural; please.

You don't work in the printing industry, by any chance?

Yes, I chuck in colon's & semicolon's all over the place with no idea how they should be used and no-one ever corrects me, so I guess most people also don't know! I can generally use apostrophe's correctly! ;)

If you'd wanted to do something useful on Saturday you could have taken a few bags of spare vowels to distribute to the towns and villages down there, where there is a severe shortage.

I guess the Newport fan got extracted from the ground for chucking a book full of vowels, consonants and various apostrophes ?
