Who actually owns our club?

Who actually owns our club?

Postby fulwoodshrimp » Sat Dec 17, 2016 8:01 pm

For some time I have been puzzled at the lack of any information about the sale of the club and payment for shares. I am now wondering as the saga continues if no money has changed hands. The gossip amongst some in the Omega Stand today is that we have seen the last of Diego. Can this possibly be true? If this information is correct that must mean Peter McGuigan is still legally owner of the club and facing a demand from HMRC through the courts. Difficult times for the club as Christmas approaches and surely a statement from PMG to clarify matters is required urgently?

Completely agree. The only person who can shed any light on the situation is Peter McGuigan. He knows the legal status of the club, whether money has changed hands and whether there is a dispute over ownership.

The official line is that ''Diego only talks to Rod'', so has anyone on here asked Rod whats going on?

Diego might be in China trying to reignite our slightly damp squib of a ''landmark'' partnership with ''The Clever''.

Peter Mcguigan was never shy about telling us his plans for the club in the past, I wonder why he's so quiet?

If that is genuinely the situation, then I would expect Rod to keep things very quiet and not tell anyone what he's discussed with Diego!

If Diego talks to Rod and Rod makes it public, then Diego will stop talking to Rod. At the moment, I'd simply be relieved to know that a true Morecambe fan is in discussion with the people who matter right now.

So if I had a few million in the bank, how much would it cost to buy Morecambe?
Only problem is, it's losing money hand over fist.
I can t see it being a viable business proposition.

How do you make a million pounds out of Morecambe FC?
Start with ten million

It was always going to be a tough sell, so PMG did well to find somebody to offload it to, there are no local fans rich AND daft enough to buy it and then fund the annual losses, so the best case scenario doesn't actually exist unless outsider won the lottery last night.
