The public accounts show the huge losses made every year. It's blatantly obvious that whoever bought it would have to keep pumping that money in. Where else would any sane person think the money to cover the losses is coming from? Diego must have known what he was getting himself into.

I hope so Ken

Diego might have the attitude I've already told and reassured them all after the wages hiccup, and im not telling them again.

plus we knew he'd other business interests and wouldn't be hands with us on a daily basis.

I thought it was common knowledge that Diego never had any money and it was in fact Abdul who was the one pumping in the cash?

I'm sure we got told that he was going to be hands on and would have an office/desk at the ground?

Think we were told that at one of the Fans/Director Liason meetings.

However, that could have all changed since of course with Diego's "imminent arrival back in the country" seemingly extending by the hour/day/week.....

I think Diego has gone and the rumoured announcement on 29th will tell us that! Hope I'm wrong!

If someone could summarise what is fact and what is repeated rumours, it would be helpful.

Some people are hinting at stuff that they know but can't post, some people are posting their opinions based on some quite bonkers positions, some people are changing their opinion on who's to blame more than I change my pants, some people are seeing a rumour someone has posted and it's starting to morph into "fact".

I think the only fact is that apart from PMG/MD and Diego/Abdul, nobody actually knows the full story... the rest will have to wait and see...

seem to recall when it was first announced somebody on here googling him and his group with other companies.

and I'd the impression Diego was to overlook things with a commercial manager running things on non match days with PMG available for any assistance .

Wished somebody would just bloody tell us what is going on and put us out of our misery. As fans we should be kept updated. How many weeks as this been going on for by that time we could have got things in place to help fund raise or whatever it needs to try and help.

I doubt whether there will be an announcement on 29th December.

They would know now what was being announced so why wait until 29th December. It would be announced now.

As with everything, who knows? There could be meetings planned, directors trying to get funding in place, negotiations with Diego, etc. all of which take time and someone may have set a deadline for it to be decided, one way or another.

Administration is usually announced as a last resort when payments are due which can't be made. Usually done on a staff pay day, or when the rent is due (obviously irrelevant to us) or when a tax liability is due. It's basically when the amounts due can't be paid, and there's no realistic chance of payment shortly after, and where the creditor won't agree to some compromise such as a smaller payment or delayed terms. If the 29th is the normal wages pay date, then that's presumably why that date is being suggested.

No benefit to any company in announcing it before they have to, i.e. before the due date has been reached. In MFC's case, an announcement now would jeopardise the remaining Christmas function profits from the W&L suite and also jeopardise shop sales, not to mention ticket sales for the New Years game and half season tickets. The idea is to raise as much revenue as possible whilst they still can.

Announcing administration is always the last resort. Let's hope that there is no substance to these rumours and that 29th comes and goes, with all the staff paid as normal!

28th December is the day the wages should go into staff accounts via BACS.

12 point deduction for going into administration too.

As it stands that would take us down to 11 points, 10 away from 22nd. That would essentially relegate us, I couldn't see us getting out of that.

I understand from an authentic source that 28th December is the day the pay goes into staff bank accounts.

Controversial I know but.... you can still get 15/8 for us to be relegated. Stick £130 on and you'll win your stake back plus the money for a season ticket. :geek:
