The board have at last realised that communication between them and the fans is vital at this time.

Indeed, yes, the default for a broken contract is to put the parties back in the position they were in beforehand, i.e. PMG to hand back whatever money was paid by Diego, in return for his shares back. Known in legal circles as "restitutio in integrum" or restoration to the original or pre-contractual position.

Would there be any mileage in rallying everyone who has ever seen us at home in the last ten years and getting them down for a party against Crewe. Not saying it could be our last home game or anything but we are in the shit and it's no use saying "If I'd have known I'd have come down to support" after the event.
Accy have had there problems and rallied the troops for something similar.
We need to do something???
Any thoughts?

Is there much you can do when theres been no adverts on the radio/basically anywhere for the last few weeks/months even? I agree, this could be the most important match in morecambe's history... :?

Massive statement by the board and I thank them for making their feelings public. For the first time in a long while I feel a sense of "we're in this together".

However, could this very public statement (they mention they will be available to media outlets) be the last role of the dice? A desperate plea to Diego?

This is not for the Crewe game which will be reasonably attended but maybe the next home game in January. Make it a Dagenham style free game but have collections inside every gate. I am a season ticket holder but would throw £30 or £40 in a collection meaning the club gains £s. I am sure lots of people would also put money in to help the club.

I note in the statement describing Mr Lemos as the majority shareholder. Is he if he hasn't paid fully for his shares? A clear message from the board to improve communications and I sense this is the beginning of the end for Mr Lemos. However, is there any way we fans can help the manager sign one or two players in the window? Some kind of bond scheme or sponsorship deal ?

And is there any legal reparation for the damage done to MFC for all this?

Not 100% sure on the fixtures but Accy at home is at the end of January. Providing we last that long, could be a good opportunity to get as many down as possible and gives the club a good month of planning any offers or collections.

I agree that it is a massive statement by the board but I don't think it's a last minute plea to Diego as he clearly has no money and has gone one better than Elvis and not only left the building but also left the country

Does anyone have contacts at Bay Radio? What would some adverts for the Crewe game cost?

and I'm fairly sure we could muster some flag wavers to march with you should any kind of protest be in order.

As football fans we love to gloat over other club's misfortunes, but you have to be deadly rivals to laugh when things are going really wrong.

We've cheered for each other during promotion charges and we'd march with you in solidarity.

One thing that did stand out to me was that Diego was described as the current
majority shareholder, does that impyl that moves are in place to remove him ?

Stanley fans welcome!

If we are to have a rallying call to local fans, it has to be Crewe on the 2nd. Be great to get a decent crowd and a proper atmosphere

The next question of course is if the "promised investment" can be sourced elsewhere should Lemos not cough up or be removed from the Chair, assuming it is needed for the club to continue.

Removing Lemos is a priority, but presumably should it do so, the club will remain for sale after having one sale fall through and several parties walk away not interested in buying the club.

Its a buyers market as it always was so if PMG is realistic in his price someone may come in.

They would acquire not only a football club but a weddings/banqueting business with circa £1 million turnover.
