O/T 'D' day for Kiddy

O/T 'D' day for Kiddy

Postby nobbyshrimp » Tue Feb 08, 2011 9:16 am

'D' day has finally arrived for Kidderminster Harriors FC. If they don't find the required funds (£155,000) by close of business today they will enter administration. A sad sad day for Kiddy fans and a club of similar size to ours. Have some fond memories from playing Kiddy and how many remember Jan Molby being manager and taking them into the league?
There last decent gaffer was Mark Yates who left to take charge of Cheltenham in 2009/10 and brought them to the Globe on Saturday whilst Jim Harvey was also rumoured to be applying at one time. As with lots of smaller clubs there biggest problem is being located close to quite a few bigger towns/clubs.
Good luck Kiddy :!:

Our first away game in the Conference was at Kiddy, and Cainy scored a cracking goal after only 2 minutes as most of the Morecambe fans was trooping around to behind the goal !

1995 that was and I remember it like it was yesterday. Got beat 2-4 in the end and we wore that fabulous Purple away strip.

If I remember right, that was the one with two shades of Purple stripes and Yellow stripes on
a White shirt.
The best chant I've ever heard at Morecambe then followed.........

Violet Lavender and Saffron Army!

Happy Days :D

We were top of the league before that game,we then went on to lose the next 7 games.

Wasn't our last regular season game in the Conference at Kiddy as well? A 1-0 win with s Thommo penalty, from memory we clinched a place in the play offs that day.
