David Artell takes over at Crewe, we'll all be wishing him well and watching his progress with a keen eye.

errr nah , can't see Jim working as a number two.

think it will be more like Artell a future Morecambe manager like in the same regard as Coleman at Stanley being former players.

Surely that's only likely if Dave is a failure at Crewe? If he's successful, then he's not going to come to Morecambe. Anyone who thinks we're bigger or more attractive than Crewe has delusions of grandeur!

So how did that work out then?

Stephen Robinson has left his post as Oldham Athletic manager this afternoon.

He has been immediately replaced by a certain John Sheridan (who returns for his THIRD spell in charge of The Latics)

This is Sheridan who walked out on the club last year in order to take over at Notts County and had the board and fans slating him for it.

That same board now re-appoint him for a THIRD time.

Bizarre. Absolutely bizarre.

Craig Hignett leaves Hartlepool by "mutual consent" (The sack !)

We probably earned him a stay of execution on 30 December.

Caldwell appointed. Has to be a better option than Tony Mowbray.
