An interesting read. I think we have to prepare ourselves for Lemos and his associates having accessed club funds.

Somehow think you are correct....but everything will come to light in due course.

CC seems to be on a mission to have the most posts removed on the forum for libel.

I think the truth is beginning to emerge about Diego etc.. Every fan should read the article in the Football League Paper referred to in the post earlier. If CC is guilty of libel then the journalist certainly is. I think both speak from an informed position!

It says that the EFL dont have the funds to do the stringent homework required and the seller should view these tests a bit like an MOT, and be cautious.

How is this so for I understand he paid PMG a deposit for the shares but has paid no more since and missed the deadlines for payment. How then is he the owner etc. ? Has there been more to the sale than we have been told?

A very, very interesting read from the Football League Paper reproduced on the Blackpool forum:

"Accessed" does not mean 'misappropriated'.

There is a world of difference between the two. Suggesting that Diego "accessed" club funds is quite possible. Legally, it appears that the club is predominantly 'his', in terms of being the major shareholder.

In the absence of evidence of anything illegal, please don't suggest anything illegal has happened. And if anyone has evidence of illegal activity by anyone, don't post it publicly, give it to the police.

Keith, wouldn't it just be easier to ban CC, at least temporarily till these things are sorted, and in his interests as much as anyone else's? Since we know these pages have been read by Brazilian media (Mr P made their papers), things said here being quoted in the Brazilian papers could lead to some serious issues for those involved.

It would be easier for all the mods, especially Keith, to shut the forum for a while. The only thing in Keith's favour is that if he deletes something that has either obviously gone too far or he's been warned its gone too far, then he might not be included in any actions.

It's a long time since I or Keith offered help setting up a forum to anyone wanting to air their views in public but the offer's always there. In the meantime, I don't think there's ever been such a serious situation that is no doubt occupying far too much of Keith's time, and the forum's been around for approx. 20 years now.

20 years! I remember 1996 when we used to post a thread asking a question and you would get a reply four days later.

I don't think there's any need to close the forum temporarily. If anyone wants to sue CC it'll make this whole saga even more dramatic. There's enough legal precedent now that Keith, as well as the other mods, including myself, did everything reasonable to limit the impact of any libellous comments then we cannot be held responsible. Whoever writes the message is legally responsible and not the messenger.

Anyone that thought that they might get a few easy quid. One should possibly have a look at the client list of IPS Law to suggest this is not going to go away quickly, easily or cheaply, and anyone with any sense would leave any speculation in a domain it couldn't be easily reproduced in a court of law.

The stories coming out are doing so daily, and will lead to more questions than answers. You can be correct about 99% of the dealings of the last 6 months. You'll get sued for the 1% that isn't, and I think it's patently obvious that it almost certainly isn't beyond the reproach of some of the protagonists involved.
