Home game v Stanley

Will be moved to a mid week game now after Stanley beating Luton today, our fixture with them was due to be played the 28th Jan the same day as the FA cup fourth round takes place. I'm sure everyone won't mind a Tuesday night fixture against them lot !

Well as we are out of the FA Cup and now Everton are out of the FA Cup, neither of us have a game on the 28th, may i suggest our board members get on the blower to Ronnie and try and arrange a friendly for that date and bring in some much required income.

I've suggested the same fixture for the 28th on the "Guardian" topic.

It may have been possible if Roberto had still been in charge.

With a wafer thin squad, I would think the last thing Jim needs is to risk players picking up a knock in a mid-season friendly! Rest & recuperate. Perhaps some massage, and save the legs for the battle ahead.

So how did that work out then?

Sorry Keith but i dont think Everton will want to pick up any knocks to their star players either, it was an idea to try and bring in some much required income and get some new fans to the Globe. Whilst we have a small squad, the more match practice the better, and im sure it would be a dream come true for the like of Luke Jordon to play against a Premier club.

Get real mate, no prem club is guna send a first team down to us mid season. We'd be lucky to get a u23 prem side to the globe at this stage for a behind closed door game

You get real mate, you dont get anything without asking and anything to get money into the coffers is worth trying and why the hell would it be behind closed doors. With Everton getting stuffed by Leicester it seems like they need some match practice too. ;)

We're in the middle of a transfer window we're there guna spend a lot of money to avoid what happened yesterday in the future. The last thing there guna want is to come the globe to play us who can just about put a squad together. We won't want any friendlies either as we've got enough games coming up ourselves

Seen as it's been moved, and the club lacking revenue as it is, do we have a plan to fill the Globe Bar??? Some sort of event? Think it's worth a thought....
