Worthy of a thread in its own right.

Huge thank you to Freez & Swidz for having the idea and carrying it out and to everyone who contributed. A fantastic gesture and one that makes everyone associated with Morecambe FC proud. It's great to see us making a national newspaper for positive reasons too.

Not that anyone could doubt it, but it demonstrates what the club means to Jim as well. I've never known him stuck for words before!

Well done to everyone who donated, and to Jim, the players and the people behind the scenes who are battling to bring the club through, you make me proud to be a Morecambe fan!

Well said Keith.

I got a sense yesterday that the fans are back at the heart of the club where they belong. They're there throughout the club but yesterday I thought there was one voice. Jim in the director's box standing up and kissing his badge probably helped.

P.S. There's a link on The Guardian website too.

Its been on BBC Breakfast sports bulletin this morning as well.

"Omega" was prominent in all the shots shown and I hope that in time but as soon as possible that Nigel returns to the board of directors.

I see the video has got 50k in views, I'm sure you start getting a small amount of advertising revenue at that point? Could be wrong, I seem to remember the magic figure for £1000 being 100k in views, so, keep liking and sharing as much as you can.........

Match of the Day's Facebook post has been shared over 2.1k times which is huge relative to the 100 shares from Morecambe FC page. Assuming each person who shared that had 200 unique friends (average number apparently) and all the friends saw it that's approx. up to 400k people that could have seen it in their Facebook feed. Most of the comments are positive and supportive too which does a wonderful job of reminding people what a friendly unique club we have. Who knows, it may be the catalyst to encourage genuine external funds from a random source?

Hello all
I have been busy all weekend trying to push this to as many people as I can because it is such a great bit of television and a great example of what makes this club, and its people, so special.
Look out for more today as the story is set to be on Look North West, Granada Reports and 5 Live as well as national ITV.
It has been busy but definitely worth it.

Great work Quinny.

I was thinking last week we really need to be getting our story out there if we were a bigger club the press would be over all the story of our current problems (look at Leeds for example).

Great to get some coverage and get the club in peoples minds so that when people see our story they might be willing to help if needed further down the line.

Just heard Mark S and Jim being interviewed by Adrian Chiles on 5 Live. Apparently Chiles was unaware we had been taken over and the seriousness of our plight until now. He wished us well.

Great publicity for the club following the paying of the manager's fine. It shouldn't be forgotten that the manager's sending off was the result of a truly abysmal performance by the referee who looked way out of his depth. Has he received any sanction?

Great gesture by the fans.

Unfortunately not everybody sees it that way.

Overheard a conversation in Milnthorpe SPAR this lunchtime between a couple of blokes who suggested that as a FL club our manager should be paid enough to pay his own fine. I just looked at them and shaked my head which didn't go down too well......

So what?

A million view on Youtube, in addition to getting the most media coverage since we got promoted, if not more, and getting the issues facing the club brought front and centre to thousands of people who wouldn't otherwise have known about it - and you choose to dwell on two arseholes.

Well done to the fans, and well done to all those involved in creating and sharing it.

He didn't get a game on Boxing Day, whether that's connected I don't know.
