I have been to an ice hockey game, couldn't get into it tbh, but I did come away feeling entertained, the crowd really get's involved and the cheerleaders and various other entertainment around you was brilliant.
Most of the away fans being removed for over celebrating helped
Loads of smiles on faces.

Yes, went to the dinosaur place, as that's pretty much all there was in Drumheller at the time. They filmed a 'flight' sequence for one of the Superman films there, that was its other claim to fame.

Absolutely, the intros are always fun and intense. The arena was always full and they engaged the crowd via game prizes. It was fun win or lose. I wish they had the chanting like in football though. I find it great to see a group come together to chant makes the match more exciting.

I have paid for various functions at the Globe and all my receipts are from Morecambe FC Ltd. Make of that what you will.

It means nothing at all. Very common scenario for there to be a "front" with the money split in the background. One of my clients owns a hotel that has a large cafe - he doesn't run the cafe himself, it's rented out. But all the money goes through the same credit card terminal so you get a receipt with "xxx guest house" on it when you pay by card. Behind the scenes, that money is ring-fenced (less card processing fees) and paid to the cafe proprietor. Exactly the same with hairdressers where there's a salon with several self employed hair stylists - same scenario, you get your c/c receipt headed "xyz salon", and the self employed stylists get their share of the revenue behind the scenes. Main reason is to reduce overheads, i.e. just one card machine and receptionist/cashier instead of several machines and also that customers wouldn't want to pay 2 or 3 different bills, i.e. in the hotel scenario, they don't want a bill for breakfast or room service separate to the bill for the hotel room. Doesn't mean there's anything underhand going on (but at the same time, there could be!).

More than familiar with these situations but in your example, as far as the card processing company is concerned and all the paperwork. your contract is with the hotel and should any dispute arise, it's with the hotel. The contract between hotel and cafe is irrelevant nor is it anything to do with me how a salon pays out the money I paid to them. If the salon went bust, the hairdressers simply wouldn't get paid unless the administrator agreed to it.

If such a situation exists at MFC, it would be good to know and by that I don't mean the word of someone in a bar nor an overheard conversation with my neighbour.

I would use a couple strategies, I'm from Calgary where ice hockey is everything, very much like football to UK. The pro teams use game packs, very much like season tickets (treated like season ticket holders) but for only a certain amount of the games throughout the year. The club could do 4,6,8 game packs. They wouldn't get to choose the matches (i.e. 6 games - 3 matches lower rep clubs & 3 matches higher rep clubs), this way you guarantee that you'll get people to even the lower rep matches. It brings in fans that can't afford the season tickets but want to get to some of the matches. The cost would be a little more expensive per game than season tickets but cheaper than single match tickets.


That's not a bad idea doing block of tickets however it might stop people buying a full season ticket.

Good idea ticket bundles. Make them super flexible where by you can use them at any game and by any one, e.g use them all yourself or just a couple of matches with all your friends/family.


I've also seen them offered throughout the season as well. Like if you only offered season tickets prior to the season and game packs afterwards.

wonder if the land the community block is built on part of the Christies Trust? I would like to think so, and that the other side of the road belongs to PMG Leisure.?

Lets hope it gets taken on by a business who can run it properly and come to some sort of deal to allow MFC to train on it and use the Police control room. Not sure we can even turn on the flood lights without access to the building!

The news on PMG Leisure is not good, in fact it's awful. However, gathering facts and hopefully the Supporters Trust will update everyone, because I doubt the club will.
