I agree 100% that a divided Boardroom is not goood for the club that we all love and will support whatever the final out come is....but are we entirely sure that the Boardroom is divided?

I suspect that the entire Board is embarrassed about the entire happenings to date. I recall David Brockbank introducing Lemos to fans in the vacinity of the W&L suite. I recall postings on SVs that Rod Taylor had confidence in Lemos and was actually the one whom Lemos spoke to (although this was never actually confimed by Rod himself). I recall Nigel Adams leaving the Board due to his inability to get info from Lemos about financial matters. I'm sure that they are embarrassed about the way things have turned out.

To my knowledge to date no Director has resigned as a result of the resoning for the sale or in disagreement with the process.

However I hope that all SVers can agree that what we the fans of the club need right now is a Statement issued by a united Board that informs us of the exact position regarding issues that have been raised on Shrimps Voices.

Whatever issues and concerns that PMcG has about this forum have to be put to one side and simply and in a language that we all understand tell us about the situation as it now stands.

I'm somewhat surprised that news of the meetings with the Cala delegation wasn't mentioned on here. We regularly get nuggets of info about possible new signings thanks to KS but no mention of more important matters such as meetings with a prospective buyer.

I understand that many SVers take exception to some of my posts and have totally opposite opinions on a lot of issues. But I'm confident that we are united in our call for a statement of clarity from the Board. As it stands we have to rely on the media for up to date information which isn't the way that it should be.

The fans are the club....and we deserve to be treated as such.

I had great times with Clarrie, Chesh and Terry the Trojan at CP. We all took great pride in looking after our ground and giving Christie's Child snippets of top secret information in the Potting shed. Very sad when we left CP and hope we don't lose the Globe as well.

What planet are you on? There is no united Board of Directors and every statement they issue just adds to the lies they have already told. Diego is not the problem now so the obsession with him has to stop.

The board, or the majority of them, were still happy to seal a deal with the dubious ''Cala'', until he decided not to do it, last thursday, so there isn't anyone selling that views the clubs future as a concern, just money, calls for a statement are a waste of breath, as even the truth would now be viewed with suspicion.

Why would the Board do a deal with anyone? It's PMG's shares that are being sold and he can sell them to whoever he chooses without their approval.

Reading between the lines it sounds like PMG agreed to sell the club to Cala but part of that deal would be that all the other directors had to resign. Not all of the other directors agreed to leave the club and as such the deal fell through.

So last week, a new forum user "canuck" made 13 posts in one day regarding the structure of the club etc, and his/her first post was the below.

Looking at his/her login, he/she hasn't visited the forum since last Tuesday, 17th January.

This was supposedly the time that Cala was at the club for talks too.

Connected in any way??? That first post:

Hi Shrimp fans,

I've slowly grown into a supporter of the Shrimps. I'm from Canada so a long ways from the action. I'm sad to see the turmoil with the ownership group and current status of the club. I hope this gets resolved soon and the club can focus on being a stable yet strong presence in the Football League.

I had a few questions regarding the club's structure and operations. I want to understand how these problems have occurred and how they may be fixed if a trust or new ownership comes in.

It appears the sporting facility, Globe Arena, and the club itself are separate entities. Is this correct? If so do we know if all three entities have debt?

In terms of attendance, the club has been averaging ~1,500 (all matches) this season. Historically, the club has never averaged over 3,000. With a stadium capacity of 6,400, can the club gain a greater season ticket and spectator base? I'd like to see the attendance average ~3,000 per game and I believe some unique marketing efforts can make this achievable for next season. Also any reason for the decline in club attendance in the recent seasons?

Globe Arena appears to be quite the stadium. The services and functions make it a great revenue generator. I'm curious who makes the bulk of the revenue when non-football events occur, the club or the stadium (if they are in fact separate entities)?

Also for the size of the club, there seems to be a lot of administrative overhead. Lots of staff for such a small club... There is no excuse for a small club to be running ~300,000 pound deficits yearly. There is clearly something wrong with the structure of the business and perhaps its entities. I wouldn't be surprised to see similar people involved with all three entities getting salaries from all of them... But I could be wrong.

If the entities all have debt, this is a major issue for a trust, it would be a tall order to refinance all the debt, ideally under one debt facility.

The Qatari that stepped down as chairman, he seemed to be involved with Lemos, what's his involvement now, and for being a 24 yr old, he must be from a wealthy connection. I wonder if he has intentions to purchase the club.

This club can be profitable, it has a great stadium, fanbase, established event centre.

The 'Vision' sounds great, but I can't help feeling a little cynical at the moment, at least until we reach a point where we have defined ownership and we can see action being taken to move the club forward.

Precisely potential new owners of a football club will tell supporters exactly what they want to hear to get them onside, its happened so many times over the years to clubs up and down the country, they are a bit like politicians when they want your vote.

Ha ha! I think you are right. Easy way to pick the brains of your potential customers. He came up with some good ideas to get the fans in, so maybe he could have been good for us, but I guess we will never know...

They would, they would also know if the same IP had been used by someone else. If it was the 2A, all they'd know is a Stagecoach connection. Easy to hide an IP though through a vpn connection.

I'd bet it was one of his team, what a good idea, well done Cala.

So how come The Bay WERE able to contact Mr Lemos and he also claims to have been in contact with the Board?

A small extract from the above link:

"In related news, following the closure of the 3G pitches at Morecambe FC, it has been confirmed that staff at PMG Leisure are to be made redundant.

A spokesperson for the administrators, said: “Following a review of the viability of PMG’s assets from a financial and valuation perspective and in consultation with the secured lender, the Administrators took the decision to close PMG facilities on Friday 20 January 2017.

“This has resulted in the closure of the 3G pitches and related changing room facilities and, the redundancies of the company’s staff.

“All use of the 3G pitches have been cancelled going forward and the premises have been secured. The spokesperson added: “Morecambe FC Community Trust have been relocated to an alternative within the Globe Arena and remain fully operational.

“The Administrators understand that alternative arrangements are being put into place to relocate the training sessions for the local community and youth development squads to an alternative venue. “The Administrators continue to work with the football club to reach a solution.”

For me, I don't believe a word Peter says.
