Interesting article.
The article says it's ironic that the sign in the Club Shop window says "It's your club,be a part of it".
I say that it's more relevant and important than ever. Surely that's what the newly formed Supporters Trust is all about.
When you strip away all that's gone on and is still going on with Brazilians, Qataris, the Man From Atlantis (Cala), Burnard, Harrison, Peter McGuigan etc then what is left are the people who love this football club, the true fans.
That love and pride comes over on Shrimpsvoices day after day, and is the real hope for the future through the Supporters Trust.
Onwards and upwards!!

It would need a majority vote and unfortunately even hundreds of small shareholders with a handful of shares wouldn't be enough when you have some of the existing and past board members with thousands/tens of thousands and that's before you take into account PMG's disputed majority shareholding. You'd need Nigel Adams on your side to start with as I think he's got the most shares after PMG.

Anyone could have cobbled this together, it's interesting for a casual reader, damaging for the club and has virtually no substance, the last paragraph about the supporters trust is flattering, but premature enough to be called ''fiction'' at the moment, so well done the Independant on filling a page with low cost ,lazy journalism.

The article refers to David Williams. It is Michael D Williams.

Very sloppy lazy journalism concocted from twitter and other media , rather like "The Visitor".

For those claming that PMG always speaks the truth, let's remember Shanghai Clever

http://www.thevisitor.co.uk/news/moreca ... -1-6780854

“It’s only the first step in our collaboration. “People are asking how much money is going to be invested but it’s about the bigger picture and getting Morecambe Football Club into China. “Will we get a Chinese player playing for Morecambe? Will we play in China? Possibly in the future. “No other club is trying to do what we’re doing. We’ve registered Morecambe Football Club in China. Part of our website will even be in Chinese. “There’s 24 million people in Shanghai. It’s massive. There’s a lot of things we’re talking about that we don’t want to go public on yet but for the town of Morecambe it will be phenomenal. “This is the first stage in a long, lasting journey.

And we'll be the ones still here long after these circling vultures hovering over our club have long since gone.

As Jim said in a recent interview, "players and officials come and go, but the one thing which is constant is the supporters."
