I didn't think that Abdul was in a position to actually sell the club as he isn't /wasn't the owner...or was he and if so why go to all the pretence of resigning as a Diretor stating the reasonong being that he'd been mislead by Lamos.

Please someone tell us that it's not true what that apology for a newspaper has writen..... :o :o :o

If Abdul is indeed the owner then it makes some other "owner's" comments somewhat, well, smelly.

I have just tweeted Michael D Williams and he has confirmed the club sale and he tells me we are also getting a financial expert to get us out of the "financial Abyss".

IF true, I suppose this means an entirely new board. I can only hope at this stage that, if this actually goes through, we see some positive changes, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I think if you just google Michael D Williams twitter and then click on the one that is Michael D Williams 1971 then you should see his tweet.

I'm not too technical at screen shots !

Am I missing something in that twitter thread.

To me it reads he's agreeing we need marketing expertise and also financial expertise?

Cala...EFL right and proper

Postby Christies Child » Fri Jan 27, 2017 11:55 am

IF this is true about Cala then surely it still has to be ratified by the EFL...and going by his past history then surely the EFL will have some serious reservations.....PLEASE.... :!: :!: :!:

Providing he doesn't fall under any of these (which I doubt he will) then he'll pass it with flying colours.

They have power or influence over another Football League club
They hold a significant interest in another Football League club
They become prohibited by law from being a director
They are filing for bankruptcy
They have been director of a club while it has suffered two or more unconnected events of insolvency
They have been a director of two or more clubs of which, while they have been director, has suffered an event of insolvency

It's all getting a bit daft now .... or indeed it has been for some time.

With this brave new world of "alternative facts", perhaps @POTUS would be a suitable person to take on the club ?

If there is any truth to the wages being late again though, surely we're at a stage where the only course of action would be a drastic one?

The Sun is clever with the headline wording, "not paid in time". Doesn't mean they haven't been paid, just not when expected. If they've been paid today then they're 4 days ahead of me.

Tim Padfield of Radio Lancashire is at the ground at the moment and has just reported that Cala has / is to put money into our club although no deal as to if he is the owner has been announced. Cala IS evidently at the club at the moment and the wages will be paid on Monday ot Tuesday next week.

Sad day in the life of our club for me....

Does his ownership see the end of the present Board as predicted? If so feel bad for Rod Taylor most of all.......

Whole thing stinks.

Diego buys club
Abdul comes in (supposively with the money)
Abdul walks out
Diego disappears
PMG takes back control
Geordie guy appears to be owner
PMG says Abdul is back with money to help
Abdul sells club to Cala

It sounds like Diego was a front man to pass the 'fit and proper test' for the real owners all along. very fishy

Who the hell owns (owned?) the club???
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Hate to say it but I'm extremely worried what's going to happen between now and may. If we make it to the end of the season without entering administration and stay in the division then we've done well. I can see this Joseph Cala making a statement and trying to completely change the structure of the club and maybe even change manager !
