Time to Admit Defeat and Start Again?

Really hope we don't have to drop down the leagues to get our club back, but ultimately if this is what it takes to get rid of sharks that are floating round at the moment, so be it.

AFC Fylde's ground makes the Globe look as soulful as Anfield btw ;)

It's brilliant here, a packed sports bar and quite surreal that Wolves won at Anfield lol

In answer to the original point: NO.

The club and its fans built up and dreamed of playing in the football league - is there a single supporter on the day of the play off win at Wembley who was angry at being promoted? No.

Starting off in the North West Counties again (like Chester did) would be pointless, as the club would be aiming to climb as high as possible up the pyramid as possible and get into the football league! No doubt the club would be playing int he same ground, have the same supporters etc.

And the talk of AFC Fylde? Just look at Rushden and Diamonds. 10//15 years ago they had state of the art modern facilities - the stadium, training pitches, corporate facilities etc and were climbing the leagues, but they were a small club and when the benefactor pulled out the club died. The ground now is in a derelict state. Such a waste. And there are many other examples, Gretna, Colne etc.

If some of the fan's of Morecamble are not happy of being in the Football League> the pinnacle aim of all the clubs in the non-league then fair enough, however, talking of starting again from ground 0 to get into the position where the club is now is ridiculous!

We all HAVE to put our faith/trust behind the new owner (whoever that may be and whatever they do!). STAYING in the football league at whatever cost in terms of lost facilities/staff is far better than throwing the baby out with the bath water and starting again at ground zero.

At least if Mr Cala owns the club, it will clear up the convoluted situation regarding G50 Holdings Limited ownership of the controlling stake in the club. Presumably Abdul will forego his claim of ownership of that comapany as part of the deal, seeing as he's reneged on his verbal assurances to the board that he would bail out PMG from the mess he has created.

Exactly! Starting the club again is beyond ridiculous.

And getting back into the football league is not easy at all. And I know alot of people compare crowds to our non-league days, I would say our current gates are generally about the same as when we were in the conference (1000-1500) barring the odd game with swollen away support - the main reason why crowds have flat lined to this amount is due to ticket prices, which had to be raised to support a football league club. I paid £13.50 to watch Southport (standing) in the lower end of the conference and it was absolute garbage! The quality if football in the FL is far better for that extra few quid.

Where have you been the last few days? Abdul is the seller.

According to companies house, Abdul doesn't have any shares in G50 Holdings Limited. Mr Graham Burnard owns 99 of the 100 shares, Diego Lemos owns the remaining 1 share.... unless there has been a share issue or sale of shares to Abdul since 17th January which companies house have yet to be informed of.

Unless Burnard is a nominee shareholder for Abdul?

So the club statement is a load of Bollocks?

What I said is true according to companies house, search G50 Holdings if you don't believe me. Burnard may be a nominee shareholder, I hadn't heard about these or considered them a possibility until today (I'm not an investor) when I was reading up about them. They are apparently popular with foreign investors who wish to remain anonymous.... there may also be tax 'benefits', which given Burnard listed occupation on companies house is tax advisor might be plausible.

To be fair the club website said only a few days earlier that the short term future of the club had been secured, players and staff would be paid on time and that there was no threat of administration. Do you really believe anything that appears on there?

No but it's one of the few facts that seems to have gone unchallenged.

It'll be funny on tuesday hearing, ''yes, everyone has had their wages in cash'' and watching the stampede to the Hurley flyer , staff and players, Jim and Ken, all asking to use the Helix pen
