"Dad, when Morecambe went bust in 2017, what did you lot do about it?"
"F@ck all son, this bloke who lived miles away on an Island said we wouldn't achieve anything so we didn't bother."
More like you'll have to say; "
F@ck all son, this bloke who lived miles away on an Island said something, but I didn't bother to actually read it, or if I did, I didn't understand it. Something about being coordinated or something. Not really sure. I just wanted to shout at someone."
"Who did you want to shout at dad?"
"
Don't know really. But we did it on a Thursday evening as it was going dark, so not many people were there 'cause East Enders was on the telly that night and some people were still on their way home from work. So six of us stood around and shouted a bit, and carried placards with DOWN WITH THIS KIND OF THING written on them".
If you want another go at reading what I actually wrote instead of assuming it, I've copied it below:

Venting on a forum is simply that, venting frustration. A coordinated 'event' should have some idea about what it wants to achieve?
Stop Cala? Then what?
Get the 'owners' to talk to us? Get behind the trust and support them.
A general '
protest'? Likely to end in raised frustrations because it can't be 'successful' and is therefore doomed to be a failure at best.
A general '
support'? Perhaps something could be done to be positive while still making it known that we're here. Why not do it on Sunday afternoon, when more people could attend and hold a bucket collection to be distributed directly to staff (
assuming no wages arrive over the next couple of days).
Bucket collection on Sunday for unpaid staff would actually have a positive impact on the staff as well as actually being newsworthy. Sunday afternoon could get a few hundred people down instead of a handful.
To expand upon the 'protest will fail' comment, unless you know what you are protesting against, then it can't possibly be a success, therefore, QED it has to fail and 'fans' can be viewed as inconsequential in the future by those who would prefer to treat the fans as inconsequential.

Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.”
Have a gathering, but do it in a planned, coordinated manner, preferably led by the Shrimps Trust. Perhaps get an '
ex-director' or even a '
current director' to address the group. Raise funds (news story) and raise profile of the trust ('come talk to us'). Make it harder for whoever owns the club in the future to ignore us, even if they want to. We have no control over who will own the club, but we certainly need SOMEONE to own it.
Is that a bit clearer?
