EFL Decision "won't be this week"

I can't believe for a second the EFL fit and proper process is taking over a week to complete, especially given they know our circumstances. What process is causing such a delay?

Abdul has sold his shares to Cala so he's nothing to do with us any more. This is that unique interim period where we have a majority shareholder unable to do anything with the club.

Sheer madness. We appear to have an owner who, if he is found not to be fit and proper, cannot do anything with the club in the middle of the season. Surely the fit and proper test should be carried out before the sale.

I'd say that would push some of the sellers responsibility onto the EFL and probably 10 times as many fit & proper checks to do if they were asked to vet everyone bidding to be a club owner. Sellers should do their own checks to make sure the buyer is likely to pass the test and they should also take into account it's not an overnight process

I'm sure the existing board would be wanting to reduce their liabilities, especially as Cala wants them to resign, but as minority share holders, perhaps they need to stump up for this month's wages immediately? They're minority shareholders, but still have a significant holding which they will lose if we go under. And they are the ones who actually care.

BUT if there is an ongoing dispute about payment to PMcG by whom for his share and has he received the full amount I question whether Abdul is legally entitled to re sell the shares to Cala, especially as a question mark about whether G50 passed EFL approval in the first place.

EFL approval appears to be critical in this entire process.

One thing is for certain, the entire sale is clouded in a thick fog and so many unaswered questions I feel still remain to be resolved.

Cala has done on a deal on paper but the FL still have to deal with G50, problems go back months and need to be untangled before Cala can be processed.

Apparently the FL have asked (the consortium) not to say to much about themselves and to wait which they are respecting (although it doesn't seem Cala himself is doing that).

Well if we are waiting for the G50 ownership to be untangled we could be here for ever

Is there an ongoing dispute over PMG's share sale? Surely we'd know about it and he wouldn't have accepted to resign when the deal is done with Cala. If PMG did really think the club was still his and was trying to get it back, you'd hope he paid the wages.

But to date there is NO deal with Cala due to him needing EFL approval. Also the current Board haven't resigned according to Rod Taylor and will not until the deal is signed and approved by EFL.

I know I'm clutching at straws but we've no confirmation that G50 got EFL approval and as I said previously, my understanding is that any deal is subject to their approval.

So what does this actually mean in regards to the players being paid, are the efl/pfa going to pay this and state this must be paid back in full once the ownership has been confirmed?

Just concerned that if players are not paid they could just walk!

Its time to lobby the PFA, the EFL, the MP and even the Minister for Sport. We are going under if this sale to Walter Mitty goes through. Create, create create for our club!!
