As mad as he sounds, I'm warming to him. EFL tell him to stay away but he's still at the club. He sounds the sort of guy that says it how he sees it and I bet if anyone wanted to discuss things with him, he'd talk to you.

Don't warm to him too much for he doesn't seem to have any great fortune of his own. He seems to rely on investors putting the money forward to implement his wild schemes. If he succeeds in getting EFL approval we will follow the example of the Italian club he bought, we'll be bankrupt in a short time!

He found the money to pay Abdul and if EFL don't approve then we could be bankrupt even sooner. Not a pretty situation.

Funnily enough after this interview I've warmed to him a little too, must be an age thing. He's what we class as 'old school' says it how it is and doesn't bull shit around telling you what you would like to hear. I don't trust him all the same, trust has to be earned and he is a long way from that but he does talk some sense in between all the bull shit

So "agreed to buy" is the same as "bought" is it. As he handed any money over?

Wouldn't trust him a bit. Its all right talking a good game, that's how people like him get people in their side, have we not learnt from Diego?

Sorry but the evidence is all there and none of it except what he spouts is positive.

Fans Club - just sent you a PM and am happy to help prod some of the team that saved Pompey. Unfortunately I relocate to Arizona on Monday (seriously), but am happy to help as much as I can, mate.

*Edit: Well I say I've sent it but it seems to be stuck in the Outbox....

judging by some of the ''warming to him'' comments, its not the sheep on the pitch that are a worry, it's the sheep on SV's.

You know that Abdul has got his money do you? In the same way that Peter got his? I'm wondering if the Citroen Berlingo driver got his money, never mind Abdul.

I don't but seeing as there's no legal accusations flying between PMG, Abdul & G50 then I would assume it was paid.

PMG has been paid, if he hadn't then he would be kicking up more of fuss, he would not have OK'd the statement conceding power to Cala, which would have happened regardless of the opinions of the minor shareholding directors, and another thing, Cala has stated he may consider having 2 or 3 of the present directors on his board., Is he out of his mind? who is going to sit on a board of directors and watch Cala carry out whatever dubious plans he is hatching?

"Eliminating departments"

Cala knows his numbers, so will have seen management accounts showing the turnover and expenses of each department.

Latest accounts show there were 26 hospitality, admin and support staff. That's a hell of a lot and must be costing a lot of money. At an average of £15k p.a. wages, that's £390k plus associated costs. So, if the functions do bring in the rumoured million, after wages, costs of food/drink, overheads, etc., it won't be making any profit!

There were also 29 football playing and management staff, fair enough!

But, another 31 "other football related staff" - Who are they? More than the players/management!

Compare with 2012, 28 football and management - so a reduction of 2. Hospitality/admin etc the same at 26, but "other football related" was only 8.

So, over 5/6 years, the number of "other football related" staff increased from 8 to 31 - that's one hell of an increase. Who are these people? We know from the administration of PMG Leisure that it employed its own staff, so they aren't included in this figure of 31.

Wages costs remained relatively steady over these years, and we know that Jim had his players budget cut every year, so the wages is being spent on "other football related" staff instead of the team itself.

Perhaps Cala has the right idea after all?

[quote="Christies Child"]However his assertion that the club had £250,000 and decided to pay other creditors including the tax people and not the players or staff needs to be confirmed by the club.... :?: :?: :?:

I think it's highly likely that HMRC and other creditors will have been paid in preference to the staff. They have the ability to call in receivers, especially HMRC, so pose a greater risk to the club's future. Harsh, but true, that the staff aren't in the same position to put the club into administration/receivership so when the chips are down and there's a queue of people waiting to be paid, the Board will have had no choice but to prioritise the ones who could do most damage if they weren't paid.

Your maths regarding staff wages does not stack up with the figures in the accou ts Kenh, you obviously have a background in volving accounting so it would be more helpful if you quit basing your statements om ''supposition''.

One of Cala's people has said there there was always money to pay staff HMRC were paid and the other payments were non priority.

The club received £40k per month and two payments of £250K + solidarity payments

Those figures tie up with what someone else said previously.
