All the Lancashire Junior Cup Finals in the eighties, drawing away at York in the FA cup and that replay at Maine Road, losing at Stockport 5:1, again in the FA cup, but a special day despite the result. Going to Lincoln, (FA cup again) and all our coaches getting a Police escort to and from the ground, also remember my Dad buying a 10pence programme for 50p after the game from a Lincoln supporter saying that we have come all the way from Morecambe and that by the time we had got to the ground they had sold out, he must have felt sorry for us but was still happy to accept 5 times its cost. All these were massive games to a young Morecambe supporter and these memories will be with me forever. Also must mention the numerous times we use to take our Alsation to Christie, and the time when the lady in the sweet shop under the main stand gave my Dad several bars of chocolates for the dog, she was unable to sell them because mice had nibbled the corners. We took them home, but not for the dog, me and my sisters broke off the nibbled edges and ate the remaining chocolate ourselves, health and safety wasn't around then. Iv'e got so many good memories from supporting my little club, people like Cala and Diego would never and could never understand, but I know supporters reading this will know exactly what I mean.

Oh, I'd forgotten that goal. Yes, fairly sure it was me that recorded the alternative view. What date was it? I didn't note the matches back then, just dated the match folder so it'll help me find it much quicker.

One of the moments for me was 1992 away at Colchester in the FA Trophy. Ian Cain levels the score to send the large away support crazy.
We ended up losing but we came away thinking we could compete with any off the non leagues finest.

Don't remember putting it to Ballroom Blitz but it's the sort of thing I'd do. There's also some photos showing how seriously his team mates, physio and officials took it.

When we come out of this in whatever form or who the owner is or will be, it has to be the best time to relieve ourselves of the current ground and bar names. For me it is just a reminder of what a mess we are and have been in.

The fans have stood by the team, management and the proper people of Morecambe FC. - they deserve the facilities in the home end sorting out. I would have hoped by then Nigel might find a way of coming back and carrying on the Omega Stand name - if not then it is an opportunity for someone else to take over as G50 hasn't quite got a ring to it
