Shrimps Trust: Cambridge United game

Postby Shrimps Trust » Wed Feb 08, 2017 2:42 pm

We have been asked by a large number of fans if we would be willing to have a bucket collection at the Cambridge game, specifically to help those staff affected after their wages weren’t paid.

However, after consultation with club Directors and now that the current wages crisis has been resolved, the Trust agree that Saturday should be a day to focus on football, enjoy the free pie and a drink on offer from the League’s sponsor and get behind Jim Bentley and his lions. We won’t be collecting money at the game and will only do so when there is a specific cause we can all rally behind.

Instead, the Trust has created and paid for a Facebook advertising campaign to promote Jim’s gift of a free pie and pint and get as many people as possible down to the match.

We look forward to seeing you there! Come On You Shrimps!
