Liked the look of their coloured centre forward until he was taken off. Held the ball up very well and was a handful for our defenders but thankfully he didn't have players around him to take advantage of his strength. He got a right bollocking from his manager mid way through the first 45 and didn't,t look too pleased to be on the receiving end of a verbal onslaught, which for a number sat around me seemed a bit unfair.

''coloured'' CC is offensive, Ribena is ''coloured'' ,painted walls are too, not people though, they are , a colour.

See I, and others, felt he was very poor and posed little threat to us... Corr was more of a threat but brought on too late. Shows how different people can view a game! :)

Liked the look of our centre back pairing who marshalled the defence and hardly gave the Cambridge front line a sniff all game. Can't remember Baz having to make a save in anger.

Really?!?

He was useless. Edwards won every single header against him all afternoon. He could have been in a perfume factory and still wouldn't have got a sniff.

Its interesting how our results have shown a distinct upturn since we lost Barky and Stockton.

A real siege mentality and also a more fluid system not relying on a target man centre forward.

Give me Rhys Turner or Mullers anytime with their pace. He was like a very poor man's Akinfenwa.

Have to disagree but that's not unusual. Certainly held the all up and brought others into play...but I didn't have my glasses on.....

Corr definitely more threatening. I was disappointed when they took Ikpeazo (have I got that right? Memory not great this time on a Saturday night) off. Thought his only threat was against the rules of the game (i.e. fouling), which the ref took note of early on.

I hope the board realises in future that honest communication with fans is the true way forward. Since then the way everyone has pulled together positively is incredible.

We must have turned a corner if you are being positive.. great post and agree fully.

What a great game and day, couldn't believe there was still a few of us in the Globe Bar at the orgasmic heights of 9.30.... well done to all the staff today worked their nuts off, even if they don't all own any. Thank you and brilliant ....

This is the Morecambe team I remember, but haven't seen enough of, particularly in home games over the last six and a half years at the Globe Arena.
To see a Morecambe team play well for an entire game at the Globe, and not just ten or fifteen minute bursts was an absolute joy to see.
The togetherness feel amongst the fans was superb, great to see smiling faces for a change, Kevin Ellison proving yet again that he can still produce what's needed and Jim saluting the fans at the end.
Another feel good day for everyone.
On the pitch, every player contributed to the victory.
What is good to see is the flexibility of the players. Alex Kenyon slotting into the three centre backs role as if he had played there all his career. He was excellent in that position at Carlisle in January too.
Mullin showing a great work ethic, and even when he missed chances, he was always waiting for the next one to come along.
The fluid style of play is something we as fans are not used to seeing too often, but it was certainly there yesterday, with the consistent Michael Rose reliable as ever.
Murphy is looking better and stronger since his terrible injury problems, and more influential. Ryan Edwards is having a fabulous season at the back, and his reading of the play has improved immeasurably.
Everyone played their part yesterday, on and off the field.
Long may it continue.

A vast improvement on previous home games and a well deserved victory with Wildig and once again Rose being so influential in the supply chain.

At the beginning of the season I wrote that Mullin had a lot to prove this season and at last he's showing the consistant form that Jim speculated in some years ago in giving him a 3 year contract.

Also loanee Duckworth has provided more security down the right and suggests that Fleetwood must have somebody even better in that position if they have allowed him to come to us until the end of the season.

A good day in every aspect, the catering was very good the staff were well organised and the service was both quick and efficient.

The atmosphere and the feeling in general was reminiscent of the North Stand at Christie Park, the game itself was entertaining with both sides trying to attack rather than not concede, everyone played well including the subs, Paul Mullin always gives 100% but yesterday he looked a lot more confident lets not forget he is still only 22, Evans and Duckworth both look like good additions to the squad and Kev looked like he had been on the Red Bull what a character.

As far as Cambridge goes I though their best player was the number eight Berry.

The thing that stood out the most about yesterday was the unity of the players management and supporters long may it continue.

I think the adversity has helped the players perform with more freedom and confidence.

The main thing that we did yesterday was to continue attacking when we were winning. At 2-0, we were still committing men forward, pinning Cambridge back in their own half, whereas usually we'd take the lead and then sit back with our tin hats on, simply waiting to concede.

Great day, great atmosphere and great result, agree re Berry, excellent in the first half, most of their positive moves stemmed from him, I guess I was probably watching him more closely as he is an ex Barnsley player, never cut it for us and we shipped him back to Cambridge, he was less influencial in the second half when he was pushed further back....lets hope for more of the same Tues night...
